Great pub. Nice food. We had egg, ham and chips, and it was great. Nice friendly staff and locals. Nice after a walk around QE country park.

Staff, in particular the young lady who served us, were incredibly friendly and helpful. This is a pretty little pub, full of character.Food & drinks: Small but well chosen menu.

Food & drinks: The service was excellent the and the food was so tasty. We had sirloin steak, rib eye steak and liver and bacon. All so moreish and will definitely go back for more. The pudding selection wasn't huge but it was the Christmas menu still, which will be changed soon.Landlord and staff were all very friendly and the log burning fire was a welcome surprise.

Lovely country pub in a very nice village. We didn’t eat, so I can’t comment on the food, but a very nice venue with cosy bar and friendly service nonetheless.

Situated in the pretty village of Buriton, The Five Bells is a beautiful Old building full of charm. Cosy and inviting and well worth a visit. The landlords Les and Sam are welcoming and friendly and very helpful, and the food is both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We visited for the first time for a small work group Christmas meal yesterday and will most certainly be back soon.Thank you The Five Bells, it was fantastic

We met here as a family to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary, they have a private room with a log fire - we enjoyed great food, drinks and excellent service from the waitresses. The Sunday roast is very generous and tasty.

the Five Bells is a nice country pub with friendly staff the pub has two sections one is a public area with a plesent atmosphere the other is more of a resturant eating area ideal for a larger group. the downside is this section is not recomended during the winter as there is no heating and room in the other section of the pub may not be ideal for a larger group, its a nice pub if you just want a drink with friends and family.

We had a most enjoyable visit to the Five Bells on Saturday night. Firstly, I must say the staff were outstanding, they made us feel very welcome and were very attentive, right down to them offering one of our party a blanket as they were in a bit of a draft. The food was very good, pub grub at its best! We had the baked Camembert which was delicious followed by 2 hearty steaks. Our friends had soup and Houmous to start with and then the liver and bacon and fish and chips to follow, all of which were apparently very tasty. The only thing to be aware of is that the building is very old and a bit drafty, despite a roaring fire your feet can get a bit chilly. We will be back!

Having been to this pub before on a regular basis around three years ago I was very disappointed how it had changed for the worse, Staff are very friendly but when you’re paying £16 for fish and chips and £25 for a steak you expect the venue to be warm inside. When I went for my wife’s birthday the pub was freezing cold asked if they had heating staff said no the fireplace doesn’t work and they had no portable heating, so we eat with out coats on and there was no background music and no nice atmosphere at all and the food didn’t warrant the higher price either, would not recommend and I’m not even a fussy person.

Great atmosphere, lovely food and great staff. The landlord even helped us out and gave us a lift to pick up our car! Superstar ?

Great food, great service and great location. Nice local pub that I love to drop in for some lunch, good price and good menu. Good spot if you are exploring the South downs as well.

Brilliant country pub. Free roast potatoes on the bar. Reminder of the old days when this was a tradition of many pubs on a Sunday lunchtime. Highly recommended.

We had a delicious Sunday roast: tender and tasty beef, a good range of vegetables, and possibly the best roast potatoes I've ever tasted. The service was discreet but attentive, and we felt very welcome, even though we stayed quite late into the afternoon. If I lived closer I'd eat here regularly.
