Fantastic experience. Staff were excellent even though the venue was incredibly busy on a Saturday morning. Food was superb and presentation was great. Very affordable. Would highly recommend!

Clean, friendly, welcoming and dog friendly. I had the eggs Benedict which I thought looked a bit small but it was actually the perfect size and a latte that was just right. I would recommend this place to everyone.

If you are in Old Portsmouth I would recommend the Canteen located in the Hotwalls next to the Round Tower. We had 'the best breakfast' cooked to perfection, or if you are just going for a coffee sit and soak up the atmosphere and of course the history.Really nice staff where nothing is to much trouble. Will definately be back on our next visit in November

The food was amazing. The acoustics are not so great if a bucnh of noisy seniors are partying but entertaining and all part of the atmosphere! Very popular and with good reason!

I had a lovely time with a dear friend who took me here for a treat. First-time customer. The atmosphere was lovely, and we had a window seat looking out over the Solent. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We both had the Tagliatelle Bolognaise, which was freshly made, and the portion was very large and filling. We also had two latte coffees, which were hot and tasted lovely. Would recommend if you wanted to take that someone special.

A nice, dog friendly cafe built into a historic area of the old walls.

Brilliant location with lovely view of the sea. This place is always busy which is obviously a good sign. The service was great but unfortunately the food I ordered didn’t taste so good. The breakfast stack looks delicious and on the menu comes with truffle infused mushrooms however, my food appeared to be drenched in truffle oil and every bite tasted of truffle. It’s 8 hours later and I can still taste it. I will revisit but will make sure I ask for any truffle oil to be removed.

I have come down this way today for my 40th birthday and stopped here for breakfast off the back of the amazing Google reviews and I can honestly say this was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. 10/10Bravo!

There was a line with about half an hour wait, and the chairs were a bit uncomfortable but the food was great and very quick.
