What a pleasant surprise not only was the pub ambience perfect the subdued lighting and roaring fire helped all the staff were brilliant as was the food . The young girl behind the bar was so knowledgeable about the beers and wines on offer simply because ‘she wanted to understand what she was serving’ in her own words . That was a brilliant start followed by some great food served to us in an enthusiastic and humorous manner that added to the enjoyment of what was exceptional food . Highly recommend this for food and ambience

Every course was seriously impressive. Venison sausages, beef pie and Thai veg curry. Nice variety. Great veg options. Mozzo coffee is fab too. Thank you !

Fantastic Sunday roast, best I’ve ever had! Normally when you have a roast in a pub there’s something not as good as if you cooked it yourself. Everything was perfect and the potatoes were really good. Cannot fault anything. Was better than what I do at home.

Went there last night for the first time. The place was packed until the final bell and it's not hard to see why. The space is old and traditional, warm and welcoming. It was quite obvious that the staff believe in their pub; the service was very good and the host and servers mostly all made the effort for personal contact that felt in no way strained or insincere. The highlight was the food. Some of the best food I've had in a long time, and my group agreed wholeheartedly. I had the wood pigeon pastrami and the beef pie. No words to describe how good, except to say I ate slowly to savour every bite. At the table, high applause for the regular AND the gluten free fish & chips, and the braised beef bonbon. The only issue is lack of parking, which can't be helped, but I would be happy to walk from Romsey town centre in the pouring rain to sit by the fire at The Three Tuns and enjoy the food. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. Lovely cosy atmosphere with the fire going which we were sat right next to. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly. Food was tasty and good value, although the menu said our pie would come with sautéed potatoes but think they were just boiled. Still a lovely meal but was expecting something slightly different! Lovely ales on tap too!

Had a lunch on Sunday 1st Oct as part of a group of eight. The service was second to none, and the food was prompt and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble even though the staff were very busy that day.Parking: Parking is an issue though and the disabled bay is a standard size bay that would be tricky to navigate due to it's position. Don't let that put you off though, great experience and would go again.

Popped in for drinks but pub was so good we decided to eat here. Great chilled atmosphere with candles and lovely food - a total gem! It is how a pub should be - welcoming with great beer and food.

Went for Sunday Lunch, easy to book online and useful reminder to confirm attendance. Friendly greeting on arrival and shown straight to our table. Excellent roast, tender beef and plenty of gravy. Reasonable prices for food and soft drinks. Prompt pleasant service throughout. Nice old inn with character.

We stopped by here as a party of 7 (from South Wales) for dinner, after visiting Paultons. We didn't have a reservation and they had a lot of bookings, but the gentleman working there made no fuss, sorted us a table and made us feel welcome. The food and drink were very good, and the atmosphere there is as warm as the welcome. We'll definitely go back and strongly recommend the Three Tuns.

Fantastic place, have reviewed before but had too again as this visit was extra special. Food, great! Bar, great selection. Service? Best I've had for a long while. James was phenomenal and a real asset to the pub.

Came here for a Sunday roast and it’s the best pub roast I’ve had in a long time! Staff were super friendly and efficient, food was tasty and portion sizes were perfect. They even offered our dogs a bowl of beef off cuttings which was a lovely extra touch.Price is very reasonable for a Sunday roast, we had a 3 course meal and a couple of alcoholic drinks for under £40 per personWould definitely recommend and we will be returning!!

Good, nicely presented food, great draught beer, very friendly service and a lovely overall atmosphere. The garden looked very pleasant but unfortunately has the bypass running just behind it. Would definitely go again if staying in Romsey though, seems like the nicest pub here.

Friendly pub with excellent food and choice of at least four cask ales. Car park off Romsey bypass. Spaces for around twelve cars.
