“What an absolute gem of a find in Shirley. Took daughter and two grandchildren (11y&9y) for lunch here for first time. Could not fault the food, plentiful well cooked and presented. The grandchildren said they definitely want to come back here and not MacDonalds (out of the mouths of babes!). Exceptionally clean and staff welcoming. Would definitely recommend a visit and make up your own minds. Thankyou for a lovely lunch.”

“Blue Island is my favourite restaurant in Southampton (and probably the whole of the UK!). Whenever I'm in the city, I make sure I have time to visit. The food is delicious with an authentic home-cooked feel, the owners are incredibly generous, and the place always has a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. See you next time, Blue Island ?”

“Lovely staff always seem so chirpy. Really nice drinks & cakes. Cozy place to relax. My mother and I were kindly offered to split one of the teacakes with our own plates & jam each as we'd struggled finishing 2 before. (They're huge)
