A lovely, light, bright cafe area in the foyer area of the Church Hall. Craft activities also going on in neighbouring rooms, according to time & day. Serves excellent food and tea/coffee at reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Well worth a visit. Open until 5pm.

One of the best flat whites in Southampton. It's always hard to resist their treats too. Covered bike parking out the back.Parking: Covered bike parking out the back.

What a lovely cafe, the staff are really friendly, it's big, light and airy. There are toys for the kids to play with. Food and drink is also very nice and service really quick.

It's a nice, clean, airy cafe connected to a Church with friendly staff. Some of the circular tables for 2 people are very small and cramped. The food I have sampled on a couple of visits was well cooked but pretty bland. The bean chilli topping for a jacket potato was tasteless. The soups offered could do with a good pinch of seasoning to elevate them. There's nothing really wrong with the place but it just feels that the food is lacking in taste and flavour and it wouldn't take much to improve it.

We were well looked after during our vist. The food and drinks were excellent, with vegetarian and vegan options. All competitively priced, and dog friendly too. Recommended.

Great cafe for good coffee, lovely set up with crayons etc for tots. Welcoming and friendly, fabulous food and the home made cakes are top notch! Book a table for lunch as it can get very busy being so good.:)Parking: Car park at the rear of the building and some on the side street. All free.

Lovely little café. Unfortunately I was passing by the other morning and their delivery driver from Hoxton bakery had parked on the pavement outside leaving no room for my double buggy. Why can't they use the car park out the back instead of forcing me to walk into the road with my kids? Please ask the driver to park responsibly.

Make and brew is a great place for casual meet ups, with the ability to book a table for anywhere between 4 and 12 or maybe 16 places. It offers a wide range of foods from pastries to baked potatoes and hot and cold drinks. The cafe area is very airy and there are plenty of facilities for families. It's a kind of glass extension built into St James Road Methodist church, but the cafe is an independent business.Kid-friendliness: There are kid friendly food options and plenty of childrens toys to play with.Parking: Off road parking and street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is off street parking and wheelchair access, with disabled access toilets. (Its a relatively modern extension build to the Church in an airy light style.)Dietary restrictions: I'm sure they will be able to offer a variety of foods and be able to offer selections which cover most dietarty requirements.

Wonderful family friendly cafe attached to a church. Although only open Tuesday to Saturday it serves a nice fresh selection of food in a high roofed spacious environment.

Make and Brew is a very welcoming place to have a cuppa and a bite to eat with friends. Excellent, friendly service. Today the Baristas helped sort out a question around which rooms where available for a pre-booked meeting. Courteous and helpful as usual, even when it's not strictly their problem.
