I was looking for somewhere nice, not too far from my partner's office, to take her for dinner, and I'm so glad I found this place ?I think it's fair to say that it's off the beaten track, but a lot of the best places are. We went straight from work, feeling kinda peckish, and left very happy, having had some iovey food (see pics) and drink in a nice, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.Food & drinks: The kitchen clearly know what they're doing. Homemade chicken Kiev was impressive, as was the [proper] cheesecake.

Visited this pub for a lunchtime drink this week after a walk in the area, advertised as dog friendly but very much the opposite. Staff were unfriendly, not welcoming and almost put out that we walked into the bar with our dogs. Very much a locals pub who don’t seem to enjoy local tourism.

We had a Sunday lunch here yesterday unfortunately 4 of the meals were not eaten as they were so dry, these were all the roast dinners.The starters were great however.
