Booked a table for 5pm on New Year’s Eve thinking we could have a couple of drinks first then order some food afterwards. When we arrived and ordered a drink they told us kitchen closed at 5pm and we should order food NOW. We did that but this should have been communicated at the time of booking not once we got to the restaurant and sat down. We chose the White Lion for our yearly Christmas family meal. And since this tradition began 6 years ago we have chosen a different venue within Hampshire each year. However the White Lion was categorically the best of them and I would happily go back again and again! Delicious food, great service and a well rounded menu to provide for the vegetarians within the group! 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would highly recommend!

Our walking group booked in here for lunch after a walk through the Meon Valley. Pub very busy with another walking group.We had been here before Covid and pub been updated and redecorated. Prebook advisable.qLovely country pub with varied menu and loved for local pies.Sadly parking a problem so car share if possible.
