The freshly baked bread was crunchy and the starters were delicious.The duck was served rare and the quality was so good it just melted in the mouth.Puddings were sublime. Wine, service, atmosphere, it’s all here.First choice for celebrations. Dining here is being part of a well oiled machine. This team is a living work of art.Will definitely return for another gourmet experience.”

“Currently staying here for our wedding weekend. We had a rather large booking for food last night before the big day. The food and service was amazing! We’d been given our own room which was great for everyone to be able to talk to each other and hear all conversations away from other tables in the restaurant. Can’t thank the staff enough for how the night went. They checked on us between courses to ensure the night was going well. I’m sure they would have been very accommodating had a problem occurred but everything was perfect!Just to add the rooms are incredible. Extremely clean, little extras in the room are a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we have another event or just want a weekend away. Thank you all again.”

“We visited tonight to celebrate my birthday and had a perfect meal. The food was absolutely delicious (recommend the truffle arancini balls) and so were the drinks. The staff are what makes the place so great, they were so attentive and professional and made our evening really special. Thank you to Lewis who was absolutely fantastic, and our other waiter who changed us over to another table as we wanted to sit next to each other (not sure we heard the name right but think it is Kyle or Carl) who was also lovely and so helpful.”

“A great pub right on the river in central Winchester. Always busy on the weekends, can be noisy (& difficult to hear conversations) but a nice warm atmosphere. Food was spot on as were drinks & the guy who served our table was great too. Really efficient & friendly despite the busyness! Pricey but most places are these days.”

“I only gave the Willow Tree 3 stars back in 2021, but went the other day, now that the new owner has taken control, and had a better experience, so am increasing my review to 4 stars.I’d give them 5 stars for the atmosphere, decor and beer…with special recognition for the spacious beer garden. The food is really a 4 star experience still…I had roast beef on this visit and it was pretty gristley. It was good value though and we will probably be back, as the rest of the package is so nice.”
