The whole experience is what you get. Not just the drinks, but the foraging story & hard work that goes into each & every sip! A unique experience & absolutely worth the visit.

I visited here for a networking event and loved it! The food and drink were delicious; the venue was beautifully decorated; but, even better, was the guy who set it up! His passion for what he does was infectious and he is obviously very knowledgeable. I will be returning when I can.Edit: years later, I'm still returning, still sharing this great place when I can. Everyone who works here are so passionate about what they do, and it's a complete joy to listen to them talk. The drinks are fantastic! And the malt loaf is drool worthy (I should try other things but this malt loaf is incredible!).I wanted to add to the review to say it's still a brilliant place, so please give it a go! (The photo is of my Bog Fizz, which makes me think I'm in a Roald Dahl story ).

I was biking through Winchester, where I never normally go, and just popped in for a breather and a quick drink, although I immediately realised this is as ridiculous as saying "I was hungry so stopped by the Fat Duck for a bite"Turns out I had wandered into this incredible Narnia of flavour. The venue felt dreamlike to me, like a luxury apothecary, with Kilners of potions brewing among leafy potted plants and vintage furniture as if it was a wizard's late arts and crafts period summer house.I wasn't ready for this and literally had to leave and process a bit and then return with my family later that day. I appreciated bartender (maybe Guide or similar would be a better descriptor?) Oliver's patience while I blathered about how Proudfoot really had blown my mind. This place is a little piece of perfection, a crazy vision manifested through sheer effort and bloody-mindedness, and it genuinely gives me hope that all isn't lost.

What a wonderfully different experience. Ingredients have been foraged by the owner and turned into some remarkably tasty drinks. Had The Woodsman and Cream Soda along with the malt loaf and brandy snaps. Great service too.

Super beautiful setting and wonderful drinks. I had a slice of Bakewell tart - best Bakewell tart I've ever had. The guy was fascinating and interesting , however I would say let people get in and get a drink , we would have had a few drinks but because he was enjoying what he wanted to discuss ,we had one drink only as we had dinner plans. It was a super beautiful place but we were the only people there, The atmosphere was just lacking that lovely hustle and bustle vibes

One of my favourite places in Winchester, the service is always incredible. So many places focus purely on alcohol, it's refreshing when you find somewhere that doesn't! Can't recommend them

This is one of the best establishments I have ever had the pleasure of going to. The thought, knowledge and consideration which has gone into theis completely unique concept cannot be over stated. There are few things more pleasurable than tasting things you have never tasted before and it happens here all the time. add the sustainable and crafting ethos behind it I cannot recommend enough.

Came here for pre-dinner cocktails and it was exceptional. The service amongst the best I’ve ever received - considerate, informative and attentive.Time was taken to explain the concept and ensure we made informed choices about the drinks and biscuits which were themselves delicious. The venue itself is beautifully decorated and adds to the overall experience wonderfully. How refreshing to go somewhere doing something entirely new exquisitely.

Was intrigued by the concept of Proudfoot & Co. with foraged ingredients being the staple for their drinks. What is a good concept is executed perfectly by the passionate faces behind the shop and uniquely delicious drinks. I’ll be recommending to anyone visiting Winchester!

If i could give it a higher rating i would. So I'll start of and say that yes, this place is expensive, but you 100% get what you pay for. The owner(s?) are so sweet and came out to talk to us about all the different drinks, how he forages for the things himself and even let us try some of the syrups and things that go into the drinks. We tried a few different drinks, but my favourite was the Honeydew one. It tastes like a next level mojito. The woodsman was also amazing. The drinks left me a little lost for words. You could taste every element of the drinks, none of them were overpowering. We will 10000% be returning back when we come to Winchester. Thank you for such an fantastic experience ?

What a great little business and very unique. We entered expecting some original cocktails. We selected some seats and Oliver came over and explained the concept and demo’s (tasters) some of the ingredients that go into the cocktails. All unusual and totally original.Ordered our drinks and 2 light bites. Drinks were Roman Tonic, some sort of Cream Soda and a Woodman. Bites were a type of Christmas tart and a hot Malt Loaf.Everything was superb. The drinks were different but similar to thinks we’d tasted before. The atomic was a little like Cuba Libre, the Woodman like a White Russian and the Soda like a Pina Colida. All non alcoholic. All freshly made. The tart and the Malt loaf were delicious. The room is a cross between an apothecary and a lounge. We felt like we were transported back to the Victorian era.We spent about 90mins in there and will definitely return. Thanks to Oliver and Eughan (excuse the spelling!) for hosting us.
