Great food as always, always make a reservation when going to

We did not get to experience the food. The place was so noisy that conversation was clearly going to be impossible, so we walked out.

Date night and the place was superbly run. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere so much. Will be back for the superb choice of wine and of course the Ivy chocolate bomb.

Took my family to The Ivy in Winchester for Mother's day. Having visited a few times before and having such a great time whilst celebrating my wife's birthday and dining in the private function room, we were expecting a similar experience. The young waiter was great. Confident, polite and funny. The kids loved him. The gentlemen wearing the black suit jackets were totally the opposite. The 2 different gentlemen stretched over the table whilst bringing drinks setting the table and clearing. When there was an issue with our drinks order they couldn't be more less interested and it even felt like we were an inconvenience to them.Once again the young waiter was lovely and very apologetic, but the majority of the staff, especially the bar staff, were stood around doing very little.I have always suggested to friends, family and even customers to go to The Ivy whilst in Winchester, but after this last dining experience, I'm not too sure I'll recommend again.

First visit to an Ivy restaurant and pleased to say it was a great experience. Needed to cater for celiac and caused no problems. Service and atmosphere was top notch. Food is above average and of a good quality. It can be an expensive outing but there are menu choices and specials which low you to pick 2 or 3 courses from a condensed menu at a lower price. Will defo go again. Service stood out and this really sets them above other offerings on Winchester High street. The restaurant has a lovely art deco feel and a lovely vibrancy. Great job and well done.

Beautiful decor, excellent menu, special diet well catered for. It was busy but the service was brilliant.

8 of for a meal spending approximately £500…we get told towards the end we have to go because another group has the table booked. Service was slow hence we was there for so long. £34 for a steak and you don’t get anything with it.

I was very early arriving ahead of my friends but was offered the table, or a seat at the bar, if I preferred, while I waited. This gave me time to check out the delicious looking menus and which meals to avoid due to my allergies, whilst enjoying a glass of prosecco. The staff were lovely and friendly.Vegetarian options: My friend had the vegan cheeseburger and was delighted to find it was so good that it tasted like a burger made from meatDietary restrictions: On scanning the given QR code there was lots of information given on all the dishes which was really helpful for me

Having been to a few ivy locations ( Guildford, london etc) as well as the asia concept. I was so disappointed with the Winchester location, it was a birthday breakfast with me parents for which i had driven from London to meet them. The coffee was well made, and i would suggest some barista training and some cleaning of the group heads in your machines as all that could be tasted was the burnt oils of the coffee. My whole breakfast was cold apart from the beans, and i probably could have got better from my local cafe. As it was for my birthday i felt really let down as was looking foward it the outing and would expect a restaurant of this collaber and price to be able to serve 3 food orders all hot.Over really disappointing and will think twice now about booking for a special occasion, the upside it the staff are attentive.Vegetarian options: There also could be more options

I regret to write this review, but our experience last Saturday was appalling. There was 4 of us who booked the meal for a double birthday celebration. Two of us left hungry. I ordered the steak and a side of peppercorn sauce. The sauce was cold, it was replaced with another portion of cold sauce as it got forgotten. It returned 20 minutes later. By this time my steak and chips were stone cold and I couldn’t eat any of it.My friend ordered the scallops for starter. They were uncooked twice and in the end she did not eat them. Ordered a Creme brûlée after as was still hungry and this wasn’t at its usual high standard either!Drinks were forgotten, very slow service and overall missing the usual excellent service and special treatment the Ivy usually offers.Felix (believe that was his name) the supervisor, looked very stressed and we were told our waiter was having a bad time at the moment in his personal life, for which he apologised for. He is an asset to you and at only 19 years old, he was great and apologetic the whole time. Felt very sorry for him as you could see he was under a lot of strain. We all left feeling very deflated at what was meant to be a wonderful birthday experience. We did have the two meals taken off our meal, however our bill was still a couple of hundred pounds. We will think twice about returning again in the future. What a real shame. Very disappointed.

Really lovely afternoon tea bought for me as a gift. Lots of sandwiches, cakes, chocolate smoothie, scones and limitless tea or coffee. Beautifully presented with a floral arrangement along with dry ice.Staff lovely, polite and attentive. Slight issue as afternoon tea us only served between 3-5pm which we were unaware of, nothing on our voucher or booking system to indicate this, but luckily we were able to be served earlier than this.10% service charge which was covered by the voucher.

An excellent restaurant, pricey, but worth it.

Starting with the reception experience the staff were very helpful. The ambiance was excellent. The waiting staff were exceptional, nothing was a problem. The choice of food was the best we have seen in a long while. Everything was cooked to perfection and served with consideration. We will definitely be going again.
