Hands down the best pizza in town (Pizza night Thursday). Great friendly staff and chilled atmosphere as standard. They never let us down. Effortlessly cozy and egalitarian. My people.

Friday night and we should have known better. We sat in the window seats. The venue is mainly a long tunnel and on a busy night the acoustics drove us out quicker than we had planned. The Beer in Hand serves good beer and is a good place, but on a busy night it can be very noisy and it didn't suit us.We didn't eat.

The barman was very friendly, the decor was lovely and the drink selection, especially the Pips Cider, was excellent. It's worth noting because they offer a often hard to procure collection of ciders and I assume other beers, they have a reduced takeaway price. WonderfulMy only real concern was the strange opening times, I tried to go back on a Sunday after church only to find it closed. It often doesn't open until the evening instead of the afternoon. Finally they have banned vaping inside, I understand not vaping around the bar area or next to crowds of people but a polite vape at your table should be applicable, it's certainly not against any laws so why an establishment should self impose this restriction is confusing.

Great pizzas (on a Thursday) and good beers, lovely staff and atmosphere.

Full of beer and cider devotees who are not afraid to enjoy craft beers. Monthly competitions supporting local charities. We'll be back.
