Lovely hotel with an old world feel. The room was a bit dark and the lighting wasn’t great but this was my only complaints. It’s spacious and the rooms are large, the bed was huge with comfortable pillows and good quality bedding. There was no nose around the room. Very close to everything Hereford has to offer. We would return

Just popped in for tea and a cake, love the ambience and nostalgic feel of the Green Dragon, but why oh why do they employ staff that have no interest in doing their job, the young girl serving at the tea counter, could barely say a word, let alone crack a smile and be pleasant, Shame, because it used to be a lovely experience pausing here.

One could forgive the Green Dragon for its leaking plumbing and general frayed-around-the-edges appearance. After all, these post-COVID times are difficult for hotels. However, what I cannot forgive them for is the fact that they claim to have wifi when, for most of the time, that wifi simply doesn’t work. On the rare occasions that it does work, the data speeds are so slow that it’s necessary to wait the best part of a minute for a page to load. Furthermore, the sign-on procedure for internet is a barely concealed data mining exercise - why do you require guests’ date of birth and other personal details simply to log-on? Come on Green Dragon, internet access is a necessity, and there’s no great expense in providing it!

Twenty-three of us stayed on a room-only basis for our cricket tour last weekend. Maddie sorted out an attractive group rate and the accommodation was excellent value for money. As the tour organiser, all arrangements and some last-minute booking changes by me were handled cheerily and without fuss by Maddie. The hotel staff were all courteous and eager to please - we'll be coming back next year for sure. Thanks again !

Hotel painted in dull colour teal and green - corridors, walls and even our bedroom which had creakiest floor ever. Penny pinching means only one tiny bar soap and mini toiletries. Only 2 small sachets of milk each per day for coffee (needed 2 for each coffee(which was only half a sachet of coffee each anyway as it was so strong). No drinking water in room, only 1 sachet hot chocolate. Dining room plastic rattan covered (outdoor?) chairs - with a few blue (nicer) ones Automatic service charge added for dinner (we were too embarassed to ask for it to be removed although staff did offer. Dinner was very expensive for 2 at almost £100 without alcohol Plastic terracotta plant pot on each dining table with tiny plant (fake?) barely reaching the rim. Paper napkins and no tablecloths. Saggy cushions on wooden bench in dining room.. Car parking pay machine in reception could be housed somewhere more discreet. 3 empty old telephone boxes seen better days could be used for art exhibits. Breakfast is £16 each so skipped eating in the hotel.

Very nice one night stay here. The rooms were a bit old, but the whole building is, so not much that can be done. The decoration was such that it didn't feel old, though. No air con, but again not expected for a building of that age. Very lovely cocktail bar and restaurant, bartender even suggested alternative drinks which were delicious. Great central location. Maybe a bit pricey.

Loved our stay, weekend of the Street Food Fair, and nice integration with the Hotel, ow every generous too when I raised the double paying of Festival Tickets, with 2 Complimentary Breakfasts; thank you. Room 125.

We travelled to stay for one night as we had a wedding nearby. The lobby was beautiful and very welcoming. There was the festival outside which was bursting with energy! The music was loud but when we came back the hotel had ear plugs ready for you to take to your room which was a great gesture. The ladies on the front desk were so kind and sweet too. The music stopped at 12 anyway so a very peaceful sleep! Very comfy bed and cute room. When we got to the car the next day we found the battery had died, we asked the manager Julian if he could help and he went above and beyond sourcing us a man named mark who very kindly helped get us going again. (All in the rain!) Can’t recommend enough. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Most awful experience, rooms were absolutely filthy. The staff couldn’t keep up with demand, all looked as if they didn’t want to be there and on the 2nd day I understood why. I’m assuming manager, spoke to staff like dirt I shook my head in disbelief not only degrading but he had no consideration for people around him. Green dragon has taken a massive plummet and we shall not be returning ever!

Amazing stay at the Green Dragon Hotel. We visited for a wedding nearby and the location was perfect. Staff were incredible and so accommodating. The next morning we found our car had a flat battery and the hotel manager Julian went out of his way to help us find someone to get us back on the road again. Couldn’t thank him enough.

Lovely Hotel in central location, with an old world charm. Very clean and very friendly helpful staff. Was kept informed and welcomed before arrival. Breakfast was the only let down, which was quite expensive at £16.00

Another fabulous stay as always, never disappoints when me and mum visit! Room was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Food was top notch and Ed's cocktails were bang on the money. Reception staff were lovely as usual and the Garrick Lounge is extremely welcoming now that it has returned to full service until 3pm. The coffee was delicious! Looking forward to coming back with the whole family in November.

Our stay was just ok. The breakfast was very disappointing and poor service. When we went for breakfast nobody explained that we could help ourselves to fruit, juice & toast. The coffee was just warm and when I asked the waitress if she could give me a hot coffee she went away for ages and after returning poured more warm coffee onto cold coffee, it tasted awful. I ordered eggs Benedict which was very poor - 1 very small piece of toast, that was extremely hard, I egg which was also over cooked, the sauce was ok. The others ordered a full English which was small. I went to get some juice as I couldn’t drink the coffee, there were no glasses available, I waited ages for a member of staff to get me one but in the end I gave up. We recently stayed at a Premier Inn in London and the breakfast was far superior. Not only was the breakfast poor we could see there was definitely not enough staff to cope.

Spent the night here on business. The hotel was fantastic, rooms were very well kept and all staff were very accommodating. Special mention to Ed at the orange bar such a welcoming young man with customer skills second to none.

Went to the garrick lounge for lunch last week. No tables were cleared and wiped down. The girl behind the counter couldn't have been more disinterested if she tried. The small blackboard on the counter said ham and mustard sandwich which I ordered for husband I had and egg mayonnaise one. With crisps and leaves. The ham and mustard sandwich came and I had to ask what it was , as it was all minced up little bits of presumably ham, and mayonnaise was added it looked like sick, nowhere was the mustard to be seen. I didn't order ham and mayonnaise I ordered ham and mustard. Very uninspired by the salad leaves and throughly disappointed in the whole meal. Had to ask for serviettes and hot water. Having not been in for years. I thought it would be a treat to see what you had done with it. But i can honestly i won't be coming again.
