This is a lovely hotel; friendly staff and beautiful setting. Only minor niggles stop me giving 5 stars across the board and that is the lack of a soap dish for the bath and shower (first world problem of having to remember to move the soap from the basin if showering or bath); pillows are not the best. However plentiful hot water with good water pressure, bed is comfortable. Love the fresh milk in the fridge and the water. Lovely touch with the sherry and biscuits. We went for lunch on my wife's birthday. Service was exemplary and the food devine. We chose from their fixed price lunch menu (as of Dec 23). Superb. What their a la carte menu is like, I can only imagine if this was their "basic" offering. Highly recommended.

I love this hotel and have been several times over the years. The only sad thing is that they don't serve dinner in the evenings anymore so now not sure if I will be returning.
