Very lovely staff who made lunch for us shortly before closing time. We even had a room to ourselves for a little birthday celebration. Enjoyed toasties, scones (vegan and gluten free!), cakes, teas and coffees, hot chocolate, chocolate milkshake. Everything fresh, handmade, tasty. Always enjoy visiting here. Latest menu (21/3/2024) attachedDietary restrictions: Very good catering for dietary requirements. Very tasty vegan and gluten free cream tea (incl scones, cream etc).Parking: Plenty free parking nearby. However, Disabled is just a drop off outside the building and parking spaces in main car park, which means an able-bodied driver is required!

We stopped here for tea and cake on Sunday morning. We received a warm welcome, there was a great range of cakes to choose from (I highly recommend the elderflower and gooseberry sponge) and the views over the garden were excellent. Highly recommended - we will definitely visit again. Great place to stop if you’re heading back from mid Wales to the South Midlands.

Me and my whippet, Lady were on holiday in Herefordshire for a week. We had lunch at the Maples tearoom several times. It’s such a warm welcoming place. All the staff are so friendly and polite. They all gave Lady a lot of fuss too which she loved! Sitting out on the veranda, with the stunning views of the gardens is so relaxing. The food is delicious and they serve great coffee. There are so many different walks you can do nearby too it’s a great place to stop off for lunch or a cream tea.

Ended up visiting on a Sunday afternoon - arrived at 16:00 when they close at 16:30 but the staff member who served us (young lad with glasses) was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We both ordered cream tea with plain scones which were lovely. Definitely plan to return here when we can!

We had a lovely lunch in Maples Tea rooms followed by a slice of delicious lemon & elderflower cake, all with a spectacular view of Hergest Croft Gardens. If you're in the area & fancy a good cuppa or want a home made lunch this is the place to head to!

The best thing about our visit yesterday was the table we were sitting at outside looking out onto the gardens. We arrived after the lunchtime rush but there were still lots of people there, all enjoying the sunshine. On previous occasions I have been I ordered the cream tea and received a freshly baked, large scone but yesterday the scone was much smaller, very dry and can’t have been baked that day. My partner had a sandwich which was ok but was quite pricey at £8.50. All in all not value for money so would be reluctant to return but will try and support local businesses elsewhere.

Had a lovely lunch today. The place was busy and at first I was worried that service might be slow as a result. Worryingly it took a little while to be seated and then another wait for the order to be taken. Oh no I thought, it’s going to take ages for our order to arrive. But ….. not a bit of it. Our orders took no more than a few minutes. And when they arrived they were delicious. So shame on me for thinking the worst and kudos to the team for coping with the crowds. Lovely lunch. We will be back.

We had lunch here on Tuesday. We ordered our lunches at 1.10 they were delivered 45 minutes later! Saying that the food and drinks were excellent just such a shame it took so long.

Excellent Sunday roast and delicious puds. Choice of beef or chicken and no licence meant we took our own wine which was ideal.

Booked a Sunday lunch for my partner and our furry friend aka Daisy dog. Such a lovely welcome from the Maples team. A warm open fire, a lovely roast beef and the tastiest crumble to finish. Lots of other cakes were available. Gluten free roast was delicious. The atmosphere was busy and very friendly. Daisy loved her treats too. Thankyou.
