The Harp Inn
Old Radnor, PresteigneVisited as we were staying locally for a short break. The views are outstanding, there is a reasonable choice of drinks but the food was excellent. We had the burger with bourbon mayonnaise, one of the best burgers we've eaten, the ravioli was also excellent with a large portion and the mac and cheese with chips. Ask for the triple cooked chips. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

The Royal Oak
The Royal Oak, GladestryFab village pub on Offa’s Dyke Path. Lovely traditional bar and a warm welcome. I had the home made steak and ale pie and the home made cheesecake. Both were delicious. The rooms are mini suites with self contained living areas and bathroom. These are both modern and spotless. Great stop over on the walk and well worth a visit.

Ye Olde Tavern, Kington
22 Victoria Rd, KingtonCracking pub. Super friendly, lovely staff and customers, great beers on tap and at £3.50 a pint I had to stop my husband asking the barmaid to adopt him. Excellent snackage and fantastic meals for a decent price. Dog-friendly to boot. Highly recommend, but save me a seat.

The Swan
Huntington, KingtonA tolkinesque experience. An inn with a warm hearth on a wet windy evening. and a bunch of chairs around the small warm room with a group of local people sitting around the hearth talking and happy to talk to us. With lovely Jane, whose been behind the bar for 56 years, who will sit with you and share her story. No frills.. like a long time ago. And soo lovely for just that.

The Swan Hotel
Church St, KingtonA wonderful, warm welcome when we popped in for a pint and to book a table for that evening (reservation highly recommended) which was then repeated as we arrived for dinner. It was genuine and repeated by all staff throughout the evening in spite of being so busy. The Chef (Ruth) came in to the restaurant at the end of the evening and was showered with praise from all tables. Our fillet steak was exquisite. This is a 'must visit' venue for anyone in the area.

Taj Mahal
57 Bridge St, KingtonHad a really disappointing meal last time we ordered.
But tonight was so different.
Opted for a chicken balti and it was delicious. Nice thick sauce and nice amount of chicken chunks with the right amount of onions and tomatoes. Tasty dish. Cheesy chips were a hit and the chicken strips.
Sadly the chocolate naan ended up being a cheesy one.
All in all tonight was a better experience. Thank you
