Dropped in last night (Sunday) and the pub was most welcoming and friendly. A great range of good beers, ciders and lagers and they even had ginger wine which is ideal for a cold evening. A lovely open log fire was also very welcoming. Definitely worth dropping in and I think they do a Sunday lunch which sounds excellent.

Very lovely staff who made lunch for us shortly before closing time. We even had a room to ourselves for a little birthday celebration. Enjoyed toasties, scones (vegan and gluten free!), cakes, teas and coffees, hot chocolate, chocolate milkshake. Everything fresh, handmade, tasty. Always enjoy visiting here. Latest menu (21/3/2024) attachedDietary restrictions: Very good catering for dietary requirements. Very tasty vegan and gluten free cream tea (incl scones, cream etc).Parking: Plenty free parking nearby. However, Disabled is just a drop off outside the building and parking spaces in main car park, which means an able-bodied driver is required!

Used as a stop-over parking for a campervan. Very friendly and helpful family run this pub. Really good basic food, which doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Lovely, tiny village on the Offa's Dyke walk.

Lovely staff and a great little shop. The pasties were really good, but the bread was very disappointing, almost felt under kneaded/underdeveloped. Although it was edible, we threw the majority of it. We'll be back for the pasties but leave the bread.

I visitted the wine vaults this bank holiday weekend and I had a great time talking to the locals, I decretly had a rempod which I set up on a table on the stage and had a k2 meter with me on the bench, there were lots of people about ... I got huge spikes on the K2 meter and the rempod went off on the stage! .. Maybe this place is haunted! Maybe there are more spirits thn whats behind the bar!! I intend to visit there again soon.

I happened on this delightful country pub when hiking the borders. I had my best evening here after 16 days of hiking. Run professionally by landlady Jane. Lots of Cider choices, friendly locals, a welcome fire as the evening began to cool and I was able to camp in the garden. Handy for the outside gents which are always open. Jane doesn't do food at all which didn't bother me as I had camping food.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Cattle Shed. The food was delicious, really faultless. The service was excellent, really friendly and welcoming staff. After lunch we visited the Python Arms. This is a great cozy pub next door. We will be returning soon and staying in the fabulous accommodation. Today was a special occasion and we were really spoiled, thank you.

Normally can't fault this chippy. We've always had great food especially the chips. But tonight unfortunately they were absolutely vile. Felt like they had been hanging around for hours (dry as a bone) I do hope this is won't happen again, otherwise Im sorry but we won't be back. Sorry but if people didn't point out these problems then you can't rectify them. Let's hope it was just an off night.!!

Lovely historical pub, friendly staff. The only thing that let it down slightly was a bit of a communication issue - the waitress didn’t seem to have been updated on items that were sold out by the kitchen. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed my steak and cider. You get a free drink with your meal on steak night apparently, which is a nice touch ?

We loved the decor, especially the jugs. The service was amazing and the turbot was outstanding. We met the chef, his mother and the chef's son - all totally charming. Lovely people. We went for my dad's 60th birthday and he had a really special time. Great memories.

An extremely good Indian takeaway. We are incredibly lucky to have such a cracking takeaway in a relatively small town like Kington. The ordering process is excellent with a very good website where you can place orders and they also offer home delivery which is a blessing for someone like me with restricted mobility. I have not eaten inside the restaurant but apparently it is very good with a friendly atmosphere and equally excellent service. We have eaten a range of dishes from chicken to lamb and pork and have never had a bad experience. Staff will cook orders to your preference if you would like things more or less spicy which is always good showing everything is cooked fresh to order. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Try it and see! ?
