Me and my whippet, Lady were on holiday in Herefordshire for a week. We had lunch at the Maples tearoom several times. It’s such a warm welcoming place. All the staff are so friendly and polite. They all gave Lady a lot of fuss too which she loved! Sitting out on the veranda, with the stunning views of the gardens is so relaxing. The food is delicious and they serve great coffee. Ended up visiting on a Sunday afternoon - arrived at 16:00 when they close at 16:30 but the staff member who served us (young lad with glasses) was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We both ordered cream tea with plain scones which were lovely. Definitely plan to return here when we can!

We stopped here for tea and cake on Sunday morning. We received a warm welcome, there was a great range of cakes to choose from (I highly recommend the elderflower and gooseberry sponge) and the views over the garden were excellent. Highly recommended - we will definitely visit again. Great place to stop if you’re heading back from mid Wales to the South Midlands.
