We were stopping through from visiting family and had a great welcome. All food was cooked to order and was so fresh. You could tell the owners put their heart into everything they do. The food was great, reminded me of proper home cooked roast dinners. We will definitely return when we visit family again!

We visited here last week as we were looking for a dog friendly pub to refuel at before our dog's appointment at The Eye Clinic. We received a warm welcome in a lovely relaxing environment. The food was delicious ? & there were no leftovers for Mavis despite her being especially attentive ?

WOW... Called in around 7:30pm on a Friday night looking for a meal with the kids. The staff/owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. 2 kids had freshly hand made pizza with beautiful ham and fresh tomatoes. Hubby had a double lamb burger with cheese, chips and a side of mushrooms and I had beef chilli with half and half chios and rice. It was all out of this world and we're all stuffed. Bonus was half way through eating, having a live guitar and penny whistle playing. Such an amazing atmosphere ?

This is a great place to come for a drink or a meal. The ambience is super with really friendly owners. Always get a good quality pint and have always enjoyed the food. Really recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The cafe/ restaurant remains unchanged and there are still a wide range of cheeses available at the take away cheese counter . However for the fans of cheese made on the premises such as MONKLAND , Little Hereford , the Other Monk etc sadly no cheese making takes place on the premises any more and those cheeses will no longer be made. So fans must hope that the dairy will be resurrected at some stage in the future either on site or somewhere else close by . We live in hope that those cheeses will come back, meantime the cheese counter range is still very good.

(Very good Covid arrangements too, at the time).Stuart CookeParking: Extensive.Wheelchair accessibility: Very good.
