Wonderful friendly pub! Went here for Sunday dinner with family and friends. Service was very friendly and we were kept updated on when our meal would arrive. The vegetable tart that went with the roast was a very nice vegetarian option and flavourful. Vegetable sides were also very tasty. Others on the table really enjoyed the pork option as well. Four of us came for Sunday dinner for my brother's birthday, starters one had the deep fried brie, a good portion, she loved it, three of us had prawn and charitzo with a side of crusty warm bread, the prawns were large and beautifully cooked in charitzo oil, I wish I had known they were served in the shell as misunderstood from the description, but were very tasty ?. Amazing. I'm coeliac (no gluten) and here today, was cooked for the 2nd time, the best cod in batter!! Huge portion, beautifully cooked. Could have wept. My partner always has pie of the day or lasagne...again, big portions. 2 meals, 2 drinks, £35 ish quid. Brilliant.
