“Always an absolute pleasure to visit this wonderful establishment. The food is incredible, the staff so welcoming and the atmosphere is so relaxed. Would highly recommend Sunday lunch, but do book a table to avoid being disappointed. Thank you guys”

“What was planned as a one night stay, ended up for the whole weekend as the area, the pub and friendly atmosphere was so welcoming. The hostess and bar staff were very friendly, and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay top notch. We parked up the motorhome on a EHU pitch with the sound of bird song surrounding us and headed to the Red Lion pub. We had a delicious meal and had our fill of beer before returning to our accommodation. The following day we headed into Ross on Wye. When the local bus didn't arrive as scheduled, and the Uber kept cancelling on us, we were offered a lift with the loveliest handyman we've ever met, now that's service!! If you eat at the pub, and I recommend you do, you have a discount on your motorhome pitch, which is always a bonus. Sunday lunch was superb, absolutely delicious and we highly recommend you try it. Overall a lovely spot to spend the weekend, with lovely people.”

Parking: Went with my wide Moho in daylight, got in easily, short walk across gravel to pub”

“Cheap pub food in a lovely spot. We dropped in on the drive back from Wales and it was a nice break in the long drive.
Food was standard pub fare. Great chips and a pint that hit the spot.
Not a gastro pub, but a solid pub.”

“Me and my Fiancée visited the pub on our weekend away, and Landlady Clare was so warm and welcoming. Also everybody else in the pub was so friendly. We got invited back the next night to play Bingo, which we initially thought may be a bad move, but it was such a laugh, and the pub had an amazing atmosphere. The food was also excellent. Please visit this fantastic pub.”

“Excellent eating pub full of conversational artefacts. Lunch was first class and enjoyed by our party of seven. Even the dogs got a pot of treats.”
