Had a great time at the bridge water arms. The staff were fantastic and the food was excellent.

We visited for Mothers-day and my mums 84th Birthday, we booked a table of 4 my husband and I, my mum and my sister, we booked on line and found it a very easy process, on arrival we was welcomed by the team and showed to a nice table by the window, we was also reminded to put in our car number plate to claim free parking. I was pleased that due to the lovely menu it took us time to make our decision and the waitress gave us some more time and took our drinks order. My Mum had the gammon, my husband had a burger and my sister and I had the roast beef, all 4 meals cooked to perfection. I normally worry about ordering beef in restaurants as it can sometimes be a bit tough, however we were informed that the beef was served pink and very tender, this we found to be very true, very enjoyable and the portions were just right, we finished the meal with dessert's, which was also delicious and I myself had a cheeky Irish coffee which was very well made. Thank-you for making the day special and very enjoyable, we will definitely be back as the Pub is a favourite of ours even tho it’s a bit far out from Towcester, it’s well worth the drive.

Hi I visited today after a dog walk, we ordered halloumi fries that cost us £6.00!Plus some fries and drinks. We were very shocked and a bit amused when the halloumi fries arrived with only 4 halloumi fries! The waitress told us it was portion control?

Friendly staff, nice pub, very average food. Greene King pubs need to sort their menu out.

What should have been a lovely meal in memory of my parents was ruined by not just awful food but the arrogant, condescending manager Johnny. After waiting for nearly an hour our food finally arrived and it was disgusting – there can’t have been a chef working in the kitchen that day as no self-respecting chef would have sent out such awful food. You couldn’t even tell what one of the meals was – it was just a melted mess in a dish (should have been Hunters Chicken)The hand-battered fish and chips is Tilapia which is a river fish with no taste not that there was much fish to taste as it was mainly batter.Shelby our server was absolutely lovely, the manager on the other hand really needs to learn customer service skillsHadn’t visited for a while and used to be a favourite place to dine but we wont be visiting again
Lovely pub interior and atmosphere, but did not have a great experience. Hopefully it's isolated?I came at 3:30, very much not peak, it was busy but plenty of spaces.Ordered salad. 20 mins later, I was asked if I had ordered the salad... I was then presented with a plate of lettuce, with a few croutons and a bit of Parmasan (see image)I note they had a version without chicken on the menu so assumed they had just got mixed up. When mentioning it they just added some chicken to the top, that was it (see image).Service was slow, I asked for the bill, which took 15 minutes!! and 2 reminders to come (again they were NOT busy, the dining room had 2 other tables occupied by this time).Dunno if it was because I wasn't making a fuss, or ther were just other priorities? Staff were pleasant enough. All in all took over an hour for just some lettuce and chicken for 1

Absolutely loved our Saturday lunch here. We had often passed this pub on our walks at Ashridge and kept saying that we must try it, as it looked so nice. We weren’t disappointed - it’s just what you’d imagine an English country pub to be. Super, surprisingly extensive and varied menu, and we were delighted to find that calorie counts were included, so we were able to make sensible choices. We particularly liked that there were some “mini desserts” that could be ordered with coffee or tea. Service was efficient and cheerful - we felt really welcome. We shall certainly return.

This pub restaurant has previous been good, but now not enough staff and nobody seemed to be in charge. Website Menu needs to be updated as my dish that was ordered in advance had not been available for 12 months!!! Had to wait at least 20 minutes for replacement meal along with another person's food which had also been ordered in advance. Two young staff having to work the bar and food waiting. Finished plates left on tables for far too long. Some desserts not available even though all food had been ordered in advance. There were 27 of us but previously we have always had good food and service.

We went to meet up with old friends (15 in our party but 8 drivers) in this lovely country pub. None of us saw a small obscure notice saying we needed to give them our number plates if we'd parked in their car park opposite. If there was a notice in the car park, it was dark, so we didn't see it. All 8 drivers received penalty fines!
