“I’ve been coming to the Woodman for over 10 years and it’s a fantastic pub - great atmosphere, amazing beers and friendly staff. It’s hard not to enjoy coming here. The real ales are my thing, but they have something for everyone. Food (lunch time and Friday night gastro type vans) and drink is reasonably priced. This is a proper pub with the focus on great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.”

“Popped in Tuesday for bangers and mash night. Staff were friendly, good options on beers and food was great specially as it was included in the price of your drink. Little gem this pub is. One not to be missed.”

“We stayed over at The Woodman in the car park in our Motorhome. A very well looked after hostelry, it felt cared for. The gardens were beautiful, with lovely hanging baskets, all areas were clean and tidy. The toilets looked recently refurbished and were so clean. Very impressed. We had Caesar salad for dinner- it was excellent. Good choice of Ales, The staff were friendly and the service was great. I would not hesitate to recommend The Woodman.”

“Nice pub, nice beer, I’m not sure about the food or if they still do it, they were doing bar snacks, looked good but never had them.Would have given five stars. But for the sitting at the bar thing. It’s ok when it quiet but when it’s busy and there are people sitting Both sides of the bar you can’t get near to be served, unless you stand between two people who are talking, or stand in the hatch space. Keep one side of the bar free for service please.”
