We visited this welcoming hostelry after the sad business of attending a good friend's funeral. Had to park our car away from the pub as it was packed out with family and friends both celebrating his memory and catching up as you do on these occasions. The atmosphere was buzzing and the pub staff were welcoming, helpful and prompt in serving both delicious food and much needed drinks to the gathered throng in comfortable surroundings. Thankyou all at the Green Man for allowing us to raise a glass or two in memory of our dear friend and helo raise our spirits at the same time!!Vegetarian options: The bereaved family had of course arranged for sandwiches etc for mourners, but we additionally ordered vegan burgers from the menu which were delicious!!Parking: Plenty of free parking around the pub and in the immediate vicinity. Not a problem.

Event visit no clear direction on arrival and a n unnecessary dangerous step that I saw an older chap tumble up because it was poorly indicated.

Lovely pub with a friendly atmosphere, the conservatory room is really cool. I was disappointed with the "sharing" fries as they were about a normal singular portion and not cooked well- crunchy on the inside. The lamb shanks were very good otherwise, much better value for the money. Will return no doubt!

Booked in advance for dinner, but when i went to order was told they weren't serving food. Luckily another staff member overheard and recognised we'd booked and corrected them. But then the same thing happened when my wife went to order dessert.My pie was cold in the middle when it came. Edible, but not enjoyable. My wife's onion gravy was far too sweet for her to eat so she left that.The kids menu was really good, with plenty of options for side veggies. And the pudding portion sizes were pretty sensible.Overall, not a bad visit, but the food (the reason we went) wasn't great.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu compared to a lot of pubs there was a good range of options.

We came to Green Man for some food last minute due to other venues being fully booked. The roast lamb was gorgeous. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The servce was first class. Will be coming

Popped in with some colleagues, staff were friendly and polite and place was clean. Food ok beer ok could do with a lick of paint but generally ok, nothing special or bad about the place typical chain pub

My family had Christmas dinner here and I can honestly say it was the worst dinner we have ever had however the staff who served us were great and I thank them for giving up their xmas dayI I would not recommend going here to eat we paid £70 for burnt hard roast potato’s cold veg and the smallest xmas pudding portion

Dreadful Christmas dinner having to wait over an hour and half before to chase the main course after a very poor first course was a joke. No one even came to the table to ask if we would like a drink at all being sat there from 3.00 pm until desert arrived. Just goes to,show what idiots where in the kitchen serving sorbets on a hot plat absolute cretins.After complaining I knew ther was a bigger problem , poor staff where almost in tears, asked to speak to the manager then told she had finished at 2.00 spoke to the assistance who in her own words tell me about it I don’t want to be here either and yes the food is bad but the kitchen won’t listen, got a refund on the meals but poor waiting staff, lack of staff and kitchen staff who could not open a tin let alone cook. At least we had food to go home to, never again,
