Very empty restaurant on Christmas Eve, so felt less jolly than some might like, but it was ok. Food was plentiful and nice, although I think the sprouts could have done with a couple more months on the boil and the Christmas pudding had run out, which was disappointing. Service was prompt and friendly, more prompt than one of our party, who managed to be in the toilet doing her makeup for half the time we were there! Friendly, efficient staff. Good presentation of food. Meats had good flavour and gravy was good. Disappointed there was no parsnips or sprouts on offer. Meat portion size was slightly small.
