Pubs in Hemel Hempstead
“A fantastic old pub in our friendly high street. Russ, Anita and all the staff are extremely courteous. Prices are extremely reasonable and there is plenty of choice. I would recommend it to anyone.”
“Had a very enjoyable lunch after a lovely walk in the countryside with our dog. We were well looked after by the friendly staff, in spite of our dog being quite ‘energetic’? will return!”
“This place was a last-minute find. We literally stumbled across it by taking a wrong turn looking for somewhere to eat.We were so glad we did. The food was great, the staff were so lovely and friendly and were there when needed. They weren't constantly on our tails but were there just when we needed them, perfect! We'll definitely be back, and we're so glad we stumbled across this place.”
“Great local pub great ales, ciders and beer. They don't do food but happy for you to bring in good from the local take aways”

“Such a good music pub run by great people. The bands that play here are fantastic. It always has a lively and friendly atmosphere at the odds and I would 100% recommend you go and check it out”
“Nice food, bit pricey for taste, would expect something more/to fit price not just standard burger. Excellent coleslaw. Friendly staff. Did miss providing cutlery and napkins so got messy lol. Very good of them to have bouncy castle for children! Good place to eat, outside pod and table opinions.”
“My wife and I managed to get a late Sunday Lunch booking called at 12:30!! - a great telephone response - not the usual 'computer says no' - The chap I spoke to said , ok we're pretty full , but can you come at 1 pm but I really need the table back at 2:15 , deal done - we arrived promptly - welcome excellent shown to the table , drinks ordered and menus left within minutes - ordered the lunches roast lamb /Beef . - Olives and bread to start . Service was brisk polite and efficient without rushing us - mains arrives - they were very good , beef was a little rare which is what I asked for and lamb done to perfection - the veg - carrots and beans as they're supposed to be- al dente - roast potatoes were freshly done and good . I'm not a lover of yorkshire but had a go at mine because it looked so good . Ambience is very comfortable and the decor gave a restaurant feel rather than a pub so a big tick there. Parking is a little unusual but adequate space . Overall a very nice experience - I'm going on one of their Thursday special steak days very soon .”

“If you have a newborn, then this is perfect - warm, cozy and they even keep our food warm under a lamp (and cook up brand new veg!) while mum did a feed.Roast turkey was smashing - great portion size and they immediately offered up extra gravy. Of course I said yes :)”
