Great stopover for cyclists, plenty of space outside and bike parking. Limited space inside but not very busy when we visited. Very limited savoury options, somewhat limited sweet options; not super accommodating on simple options such as toast and jam. Service ok ish, cashier seemed more bothered than anything. Good coffee, lovely space.Vegetarian options: Soup

Lovely location, nice place to enjoy a coffee and some interesting agricultural kit. Nice inside, small but nicely laid out. Very nice cakes and pastries though the croissants are small, too small. But we're always happy to visit. And visit the garden next door, it's a dream of a garden and so full of lovely surprises, stir your imagination.

Lottie and Alice are great. Fantastic tea shop in a rural farm setting.

Lovely country cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Caters to lots of cyclists and walkers. A great selection of home made cakes, different teas and coffee. Lovely staff. Note they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

This place was uncomfortable. Crumpets on sale at an extortionate price and not very appealing cakes. Crammed full of shouting male cyclists (Stevenage Cycle Club) who wouldn't sit down and tramped about the place as if they owned it making it seem even smaller than it already was. Very young staff seemed unable to cope, service very slow. Appalling hot chocolate which had a load of dry chocolate clogged at bottom of mug which had never mixed with the milk as no-one had bothered to stir any of it when making it. 3 tiny marshmallows. No teaspoon given for tea either. Not keen to revisit.

A gem of a cafe to visit whether cycling or walking or just passing through. Absolutely charming. The coffee is good and the cream teas lovely. Seating inside or outside.Just double check opening days/times before you visit.

A beautiful cafe in the countryside, the finest tea and tea cakes and the best service. Thanks to Peter, Tanisha, Katie W and Bo the cat for a pleasant and entertaining visit.

Very nice, quiet and secluded. The tomato soup was lovey and the apple and cinnamon sponge was nice as well. Too bad tea doesn't come in a pot, but just a mug.

Friendly helpful staff. Choice of 3 different gluten free cakes and delicious pot of tea for one. Also allowed to bring my two dogs into the outside courtyard where the sturdy bench seats were with umbrellas for shade. .

A lovely little outdoor venue next to the stables. Great food and a good halfway point on a walk or cycle ride.

Peter made our large group of walkers most welcome for coffee, cake and scones when we had finished our ramble around Whitwell. 28 of descended on this small but friendly cafe. We had pre arranged our visit so the service was first class. Despite the numbers Peter organised the cafe and served us himself in a short time . The cakes and scones were perfect. We will call again and recommend this cafe to others.

Stopped for a well earned coffee and flapjack. Friendly welcoming pit stop. Thanks for the offer of help and loan of the track pump to fix a puncture. Great place to stop if you’re out and about in the area.
