We first went here around 4 years ago for a 60th birthday.Finally returned today.Great bike ride from Luton.We had the most delicious pies for our meal, handmade and baked on the premises.Crammed full of meat too and wonderful pastry.Proper pub grub with the warmth of honest home cooking.The garden out back is spacious and a lovely rural setting.We plan on returning here at least once a month for the peace, great hosts and food.
Lovely old pub no frills, but great land lady and land lord, lovely locals. Had a lunchtime snack , with great beer and good wine. What a lovely old pub, do not expect anything except friendliness.Thanks. Alistair.

Great hospitality. Very welcoming hosts. Food was marvellous.I had sausages mash peas and onion gravy which was delicious. My husband had homemade steak and stilton pie chips and peas. Perfect.
