We've not been to the hermitage for a few years now, and we tried it again last week and had an evening meal. We weren't disappointed. Food is still good, excellent service, and still a great place to go.Parking: There is limited street parking outside, but there are car parks a short walk away

Had a meal here tonight for my sons 30th birthday, with people we've not seen for a long time. We were a few minutes late, but we sat for an hour before the order was taken for our meals. Then we were told that they wanted the table back after another hour.The bill was presented although we wanted dessert, and didn't get to have the birthday cake. Had to leave drinks unfinished. Won't ever visit again.

The atmosphere and general "ambience" of this place is lovely. The decor is stylish too. However, the food is nothing special. The fish dish we had still had bones in it, and it just felt average. The service and staff, though, were good. I don't think I will be rushing back there for a meal - I think there are better places locally that provide more value for money.

Very clean restaurant with industrial feel but cozy decor! Loved the ballroom floor!The food was beautifully cooked. I chose from the set lunch menu - calamari and the steak. I do not normally order steak as I am usually disappointed, however this was outstanding and I’m so glad I chose it! A lovely experience and would highly recommend!

Went here for dinner on Saturday and it was delicious. Our waitress was lovely, the food was yummy and we had an absolutely wonderful bottle of rosé to go with it. I'll be back next time I'm in Hitchin!
