New landlord both are very friendly and chirpy and the food was excellent and the dessert was very nice. Also just one little problem. The plate was cold otherwise fantastic I will definitely come back again and again Mr

Ate here with gf and her parents. I had steak and ale pie as did her dad, gf had giant yorkshire with cumberland sausage filling, her mum had a jacket potato with chilli. All portions were large with plenty fresh veg or salad and an additional jug of gravy and all were tasty. I had a mandarin cheesecake which was also really nice. We had two rounds so in total 4 main courses a dessert, 4 pints and 4 medium glasses of wine - the bill was 80 quid which I thought was a bargain. The food is simple and unpretentious but it is tasty and fantastic value. The service is also excellent - I made a mistake ordering chips instead of mash, the guy who served us overheard our conversation and a few minutes later brought over a side of mash. The £10.95 meal deal for a main course and a dessert is especially good value and it's no surprise the place is packed, mainly with older people.

Steak tuff and overly fatty sent back once but still not very good second attempt. Yellow salad leaves Terrible Gluten Free Options in fact very few indeed

Popped in for a pint and a sandwich. One beer on tap and no sandwich offer on the lunch menu.Parking: Don't even think about parking if your not going immediately into the pub.

I eat here very regularly. If you want no nonsense traditional simple pub grub then this is the place. A nice selection of food and drink served by friendly staff. Nice garden and comfortable setting to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend ?

Ate here twice whilst staying locally at the air b&b in the village. Came as it was local and easy walking distance. On both occasions the food was fab. Loved the feel of the pub. Very welcoming. Quiet and friendly. Thank you

Very disappointing meal was lukewarm and my seabass was cold.I complained about the fish an it was taken away and reheated. It was a Sunday quiz night and apart from another couple we were only people dining so not rushed ofc their feet!Asked for crackers and cheese instead od dessert to be told no crackers! My brother in law has a mixed grill which he ate but it certainly didn't look appealing. Definitely won't return.
A Lovely cosy atmosphere.. The food is great value for the money. Looking forward to going there again very soon.. They are making every effort to keep going in the present climate. Everyone should support their local businesses or they could be gone forever.

If you like straight forward unpretentious food at sensible prices then this pub is worth a visit. Whenever our in-laws visit they always ask to come to this pub. Staff are friendly as well. Slightly limited choice of beers.
