Extremely poor service and disappointed. Quick to take your money and then very hard to get hold of any customer support when there is an issue. I will not be making the same mistake twice.

AVOID! I have (stupidly) ordered £60+ on hot chocolate for Christmas gifts. 2x boxes dated 02/23!! 2x 04/23. 1x 05/23. Why is it not mentioned on the website about the dates?? Should have gone to ebay where it sells cheap for short dates. I will NEVER use this company again and will actively discourage others. With money being so tight this year, I'm devastated to say the least! 100% happiness NOT GUARANTEED at all. Don't be fooled.Yes, I contacted cs but unfortunately I had opened the boxes to mix them up so.... now stuck with my costly mistake. The Customer should NOT have to check the dates first!

Hotel Chocolate’s customer service is truly great. They called me twice to fix a problem with a Christmas gift delivery and ultimately made everything right. Reliable and professionally nice- great reasons to continue with them.

Absolutely awful, 10 days and still no order received, 3 phone calls lasting 30-48 minutes, no answer, 10 emails no answer, Facebook message no answer Twitter message no answer, it was a gift and now I cant give as I have not received it. What a SHAM of a company. On the website they state happiness guarantee ...... well I'm not happy I'm fuming. I want to complain more but it's a waste of time, if I write they will probably just throw the letter in the bin. I would recommend not using this company for delivery as they make promises they can keep

Normally I would use one of their shops to buy their choice of products but due to the Covid-19 crisis their shops are not currently allowed to open their doors ( as of 09052020) though they have always a had a website/e-commerce presence - they also do gift cards to go along with their presentsI have used their shops in Bristol and on line before as gift ideasGreat company for special gifts for all occasions and incredibly useful when a lot of shops are still currently shut due to Covid 19 - delivery times are plenty considering the difficulties, but also wise to allow extra time to (I will also have to send mine one once things have arrived (I do have another present to add to it)Not all choices are currently available but you can request an e-mail when they do arrive - though after a week I had actually decided on something else that is in stock, as time is running outIt does tell you on the screen whether the item is in stock or not and it is worth looking around and/or checking the website on a regular basis (it does depend on how much time you have really!!)Keep up the good work - - look forward to ordering again with you as I have done in the pastKeep well and keep safeKeep up the hard work even though your shops are closed at least there is an alternative at the moment
