Lovely stuff, great and welcoming

Generally Watford Caffè Nero is a pleasant place to have a drink and maybe a toasted sandwiches or a cake.Toilet facilities poor - there used to be ladies and gents toilets upstairs, with the disabled toilet on the ground floor. Now, there is just the one locked disabled toilet, with key held by barristers. This one toilet may be suitable for wheelchair users, but the low sinks are not very helpful to tall people, nor for someone using a walker or who has problems bending.Today, having had a wasted journey into Watford and a stressful journey to the town, we purchased a hot chocolate and mocha with some chocolate from Caffè Nero in Watford town centre.Still drinking, a young man told us that they were now closed, which to us sounded rude! I told him we hadn't finished our drinks, although we did drink up. As we left, I still thanked the young man, although his look was of someone who considered us to be an inconvenience, rather than customers that happen to pay his wages! We would normally go to Caffè Nero earlier in the day, but on this occasion we were unavoidably delayed. Is it usual to throw out customers before they have finished their food or drinks? Whilst I would not want to get anyone into trouble, I feel some staff might benefit from customer service training.Vegetarian options: Not all sandwiches contain meat - not sure if any are vegan.I think there is non-dairy milk available.Wheelchair accessibility: There is access for wheelchairs and people using walkers, although I don't think the doors open automatically.

Very rude staff member (white middle aged lady). Gave us dirty spoons so I asked for clean ones, she wasn’t happy so threw the dirty ones into the sink. Asked another staff member to give me spoons. Not right. Otherwise have no issue with Caffè Nero.

Terrible service with no care for the customer and just following nonsenical rules/policy.

Extremely rude and miserable young woman serving and making the drinks. Refused to give her name. Had long wavy brown hair tied up and a European accent. Needs to be sacked ASAP extremely unfriendly and needs to be taught how to smile and treat customers.

Quick stop for a cup of coffee. Bit light coffee, good service. It was busy but good atmosphere.

Still the best coffee on the high street.Branch has had cheap and cheerful makeover, so slightly more comfortable. But one toilet that had not even got a door handheld is a joke, even if entertaining watching confused customers.Nero’s toilets have always been poor, but locking people out of them will not improve customers experience.
