Was here to celebrate an achievement with my company team for an evening meal at Onzo Turkish at Watford. It was an amazing evening, great seating and the best part of the evening was the service we received from Aysh, she was friendly, kind, knew the ingredients in the dishes, went over and above her remit to make sure each of us felt special and looked after. She connected well with not one bit all of us and even told a little story about why a drink was recommended based on her personal experience. I personally felt she is a dream of a person and definitely an asset to any company she works with. Thank you Aysh. We had q beautiful time and you were q big part of it.

Can’t wait to come back & try the beef dishes. Highly recommend the white Rioja! ?Came back a year on for cocktails so edited the review…Fabulous cocktail menu (I’m a tequila fan and therefore biased!). Late night service slow but friendly. Ask for not too sweet if you prefer the sharp! The food menu hasn’t changed in a year, which is a shame, but plenty I haven’t tried yet so will try to come back!

The smash burger was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! One of the best I’ve ever tried. I love how Cheetos were part of the burger it honestly added such a unique twist to it. The milkshake was also the perfect consistency and I loved the fact that you could really taste the Oreo. Fries were really nice and fresh and the toppings were really hearty. The portions are huge here so you will leave super full!Definitely check this place out if you’re in or around Watford!

We came after a trip to the Warner Bros studio tour, and were ravenous over 4 hours of walking. Fortunately this place is very nearby, and the food was absolutely delicious. Big thumbs up for the lamb biryani, which is so moist you don't even need a vegetable curry with it (though we did order a tarka dhal, which was lovely). Everything was beautifully spiced without blowing your mouth out. Will definitely come back if we do the Harry Potter tour again. Highly recommend!

I’ve been craving fish and chips this evening and glad I ended up here. This is not my first time eating here, but it is my first time ordering the traditional fish and chip option from the menu, the cod.The chips have always been pretty good, my wife is vegetarian and doesn’t like chips that have a lingering smell that some chippys have.The star of the show for me was the cod. The batter was perfection. It was delicate and crisp, it’s hard to explain but it didn’t seem over battered or too thick, it was just right. It was cooked fresh to order but not too greasy by the time I got it home. Now this is a personal preference, but I felt like it could do with a little more seasoning, to lift the flavour of the cod. However I’m not going to downvote it for this as I still really enjoyed it. So much so that I felt compelled to leave a review after just finishing my meal.I’ve ordered the hot wings on my previous visits and they’re good too - not like your normal chicken shop stuff, this is far better.Definitely, top of the list for the best chippy around the area. Great service and everyone is super friendly and polite.

A small, cosy pub, not far from The Dome roundabout (hence its name) with good value beer, Sky Sports and, most importantly, dart boards!The venue regularly hosts live bands, although I prefer to meet up with a friend there on quieter evenings when I'm visiting family in Watford.The bar lady, Sarah, is very friendly and helped show me how to work the electronic darts scoreboard (no chalk needed here!). She told me the place is super busy on Saturdays, so get there early if you want a seat.North Watford has always lacked really good pubs for some reason, but this is definitely the best boozer in that part of town. I can't wait to go back for another evening of Guinness and darts. It was a great night out!

The atmosphere, the customers, the staff and especially the landlady Julie are what makes this pub an absolute joy and treasure in the local area.Supporting your local businesses are important, and the Load of Hay is the family pub that will always look after you. So many fun events to attend including Karaoke night and Blankety Snatch. After standing behind they're market stall working smelling the chicken cooking on the drumbeque,I had to try some of their gorgeous food, and it did not dissapoint! I had a chicken curry roti with chick peas and a side of fried plantain. The chicken was moist and tender the curry flavours were incredible and the plantain was perfection! Next time I'm back in Watford I will be buying again!!
