I'd somehow always neglected at this authentic French restaurant, set in a beautiful 17th century coaching house tucked away in a cul-de-sac behind the A1M. We have been dining at The Wagoners for years now, and whilst I always enjoy the experience, on this occasion I felt that the menu was very limited.The service was slow, we waited for quite some time before anyone took our order, and when they did, initially we were not able to complete our drinks because we were not given a wine menu. We had the tasting menu for lunch. It was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, as always. The French onion soup was thick and tasty. The lemon curd ice cream with vodka as a palate cleanser was fantastic. We always know we will get a great meal here, in fact our friends had eaten here just a few days before but were very happy to make a return visit.
