“My first stop on the Isle of Wight. Absolutely cracking place. The cheapest beer I had all trip. The staff were excellent easy to chat to and very helpful. The decor (apart from the Halloween stuff) is pretty straight forward- my only little whinge would be there are a few large tables rather than lots of little ones. On the good side it makes people sit together and chat, who knows who you will meet? The Guinness was excellent”

“This is a friendly town pub in the way that a pub used to be. Have a beer, have a chat and enjoy the crack. Recommended.”

“My wife worked in the Esplanade Hotel in the 1990's, but moved to north Wales, but had very fond memories of the place. In July she returned and met up with her friend in Harry's bar. Gemma, who was working there on the day, was great with making them feel really welcome. The girls chatted on for a few hours, whilst the busy little bar carried on serving the many customers that came in and out. Although we didn't eat, many of the guests around us did and they all commented on how good the food was, plentiful as well. Maybe at the next reunion we will, but it won't be in 20 years though.”
