Had the most amazing crab sandwich! Very generous amount of fresh, tasty crab with crisps and salad on the side. Friendly welcoming host. Worth the walk to the end of the beach to get out of the wind and rain!

Great location but owners hat dogs just turned away a group of six for a full weekend lunch as they would accept a dog inside even though they were empty

.e ans my partner went last week and we can honestly say it's the best place we have ever eaten. The service was fantastic, never had to wait around for anything. The atmosphere was lovely especially being literally on the beach. Very cosy feel inside but most of all the food was beyond amazing. If you a fan of fish or not there is plenty to chose from and all taste good. I have to say there food is so good I wouldn't even care where they served it to me. Yes I'm cheap and I don't tip anyone but I did these guys! I'm trying to write this review but there are genuinely not enough words to describe how much we loved it here. We will be travelling to the Isle of Wight again literally just to eat here

This restaurant is on the seafront in Shanklin. The location is perfect. As it was a very rainy week the restaurant had been flooded the week before. It's fairly small inside but as it as November and half term we got a table without difficulty. The staff were friendly and service was very good. The food portions were generous. Prices were a little expensive but the food was tasty. In warmer times there is a small seating area outside. Well worth a visit.

The Fisherman’s Cottage is part of the same business that runs Shanklin Chine. The pub is situated beside one of the exits from the chine and is close to the entrance. We booked a table by email, but arrived early and had no problem getting a table. It’s a small and comfortable pub that is attractively decorated. The food was good and so was the beer. The staff were helpful and friendly. For warmer times, there is outdoor seating.

This is a lovely cosy pub with delicious food! We visited as a group of 8 of us. We had pre-ordered (I think they ask for this for larger parties) and the food came out quickly, hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

After visiting the Shanklin Chine, we walked down hill and straight to the Fisherman’s Cottage, an adorable little pub on the beach. Lovely decor, friendly staff, fast service - we loved the little buzzers on the table that you press if you need anything. The vegetarians in our family were happy with their choices, Grilled Halloumi and Jacket Potatoes with Cheese and Beans. My husband and I liked our Seafood Spaghetti, the taste was fine, however the presentation left a lot to be desired. Fish and Chips were also fine, good portions.

Way too expensive!! For jacket potato , and fish pie, I coke, 2 pints.. over 40 quid! Not on…….thumbs down..?

Not customer friendly, we walked in to ask about availability and they couldn’t have been more unfriendly. The lady we spoke to just didn’t care, clearly surviving on reputation. Avoid

A wonderful setting right on the beachfront. The inn has a lovely atmosphere inside with some history about the cottage which we found very interesting and the food was very good. I would recommend the Moules marinière.

A great spot for a decent lunch with sea views. We had starters and mains and found the portions to be very generous considering the quality of the food. We had a lovely beer recommended to us and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Food excellent and well presented. Located at the end of Shanklin beach at the bottom of Shanklin Chine. Lovely location. Very atmospheric.

Tucked away on the far end of the Shanklin sea front, below the Chines. We came here for an evening meal. The food and atmosphere was lovely. I had Goats cheese for starter and Seafood spaghetti for main. My wife had Tiger prawns to start and fish&Chips for main. All were delicious. They were able to accommodate the pram and the changing facilities were good. Would recommend.
