This place is situated 5 minute walk from the beach far end and above Shanklin Gardens.. Lovely views over the beach and nice walks to and from there.. This is a nice old fashioned pub friendly and welcoming staff nice and reasonably priced.. Plenty of seating inside and few places to sit outside over looking the sea.. Might not be everyone type of place but I liked and enjoyed as do like older Inns/pubs.. And I like the views

Love this gem! Had our 'Christmas drinks' here a few years ago. Felt magical. Went back recently on a Sunday afternoon stroll, just as good! Great traditional pub with added bonus super views. Staff were friendly and entertaining ?We had parked in Vernona car park as off for our walk.

Been coming here for years and regularly since we bought a flat in Waverley Court a few years back.Wonderful pub with wonderful views. Bill the landlord is absolutely lovely and keeps a great pint. The team behind the bar are always so friendly and welcoming . Favourite beers include Planet Lager and the Mild . Amongst the best pubs on the island.

We came across this lovely pub a couple of years ago before moving to Shanklin and now are lucky enough to call it a local. The Chine is very much a proper pub with a great atmosphere and lovely views across Shanklin Chine and beach. Bill and his team are very welcoming and we particularly enjoy Sunday afternoons when there is live music on.

The best pub on the Island. Fantastic location, with amazing staff and clientele. Sunday afternoons up there are hard to beat with the wonderful Lewis Berry playing and an atmosphere like nowhere else.

We found this beautiful place when we were walking down to Shanklin Beach late Saturday afternoon. What a great find it was. Fantastic views across the bay and Shanklin Chine.Would recommend a stop for drinks and snacks to anyone passing.
