We all had fish and chips it was incredible.The batter was really light and crispy and the fish was really fluffy. A pint of butcombe was the perfect complement .The kids portions were very generous .Above all ,it was incredible and a very good pub lunch as we sought refuge from the rain ??
Quirkily decorated old town pub offering excellent, well-made but not too fancy food and a good selection of real ales and ciders. Dogs are welcome, including in the pretty walled garden. Service is good natured and friendly (and I'm not just saying that because a friend of mine works there!).
