“Overall, this McDonald's is a good option for fast food in a clean and pleasant environment, featuring modern amenities like wireless charging and free Wi-Fi. The food quality is standard for the brand, and the service is moderately fast, except during peak times due to its popular location.
The food is as expected for McDonald's, although it can be slightly cold if the service is slow—this is fairly common during busier periods. The quality of preparation varies but generally meets typical expectations.
A minor inconvenience is that the receipt printers at the self-service kiosks are frequently out of paper or faulty. This doesn’t stop you from ordering, as your order number is displayed on the screen, but you’ll need to remember it without a printed receipt.
The atmosphere is generally good, even during busier periods with younger crowds. The restaurant is usually clean, tidy, and visually appealing.
Amenities are impressive, including free Wi-Fi, well-maintained toilets (with parent and toddler facilities and disabled access), wireless charging pads at tables, and plug sockets with built-in USB chargers throughout the dining area.
The staff are typically accommodating, and I haven’t encountered any negative experiences with them.
Vegetarian options: There are limited vegetarian options available, although a few items do exist. Vegan options are even more restricted, typically consisting of one burger, fries, drinks, and a small selection of sides.
Dietary restrictions: Due to the open kitchen setup, this location may not be suitable for those with severe allergies to gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, seeds, mustard, fish, or celery. McDonald's provides allergen information on their website and encourages customers to inform staff of their dietary needs. However, the ability to accommodate specific requirements is limited and may vary by location. It is recommended to contact the restaurant directly for more details.
Parking: There is no on-site parking due to the city center location. The nearest parking options are the Whitefriars paid car park or the Waiting Street paid car park, both within walking distance.
Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is kid-friendly, offering children’s meal options, highchairs, and occasionally coloring activities. Additionally, some tables are equipped with interactive tablets featuring games to keep children entertained.
Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible for ordering food and has wheelchair-accessible toilets. However, seating is limited on the ground floor, and there is no wheelchair access to the upstairs dining area. The self-service kiosks include an accessibility feature that lowers the on-screen options for easier use, although the physical height of the screens cannot be adjusted.”
