“Great stay, lovely room, comfortable bed, good shower, dinner was exceptional, great options on menu, extremely well cooked, full of flavour, joy to eat. Breakfast was very good. Service from everyone wonderful. Highly recommended.Rooms: The room we stayed in was clean, warm and large, bed very comfortable and the walk-in shower easy to use with lots of hot water. WiFi was very reliable.Food & drinks: The dinner was exceptional, high standard of cooking, great choice on menu. Looking forward to a return visit to sample more. Good choice of wines. Breakfast was well cooked and again, wide choice on menu.”

“First experience of the chequer Inn, food was great! I had a very tasty burger and the chips were fantastic.Service was great, and there was a lovely buzz to the place.Shall definitely visit again.Could do with easier access for pushchairs/wheelchairs though.”

“Lovely pub! Came here on my own to watch the South Africa v England rugby game. Luckily found a table right by the TV. Wholesome pub with a good selection of beers and tasty food. Dogs are very welcome and they even have their own doggy menu!”

“I came here on break from working a king first half my shift and was recommended this now French bistro title bistro Valerie at the old coach and horses I went for the special stuffed pork terderloin and was impressed from the get go of putting it on my mouth I washed it down it the meantime enytime Iba and had a perfectly sized cheese bored it’s to clear my pallet i will definitely be returning in the very Neer fury would 110% recommend to a friend ps my waiter luke was a delight to have serve me”

“After a very bizarre confusion over where we were sitting (even though we had reserved a table), we really enjoyed a lovely meal (albeit a few undercooked chips on my husband's fish & chips meal).Mostly nice food.Good value for money.Comfortable atmosphere.Oh we were not charged for the child's meal - a nice surprise when the bill came.”
