I booked this trip to The Dog as a birthday treat for my wife in December, unfortunately we were unable to make it due to illness. The trip was postponed to January, the Staff could not have been more helpful in changing the booking, welcoming us and looking after us throughout our one night stay, even providing a charging for my car. Superb beef and a veggie Sunday lunch. Booked for 3:30pm but didn’t receive the usual ‘overcooked and leftovers’ so often received when you book a later lunch at other establishments. Everything was presented fresh and plenty of it. On the more expensive side but you get what you pay for, we both ate every morsel. Great place to finish up after a super 5 mile circular walk from the village. We’ll be back!
