First time here with friends & thoroughly enjoyed the delicious chicken shish & sharing platter which was pilled high - so much more than we expected, chips to die for & well worth the money. Lovely atmosphere & the lady that served us was so friendly/helpful & very hard working. We will be back again.

We had the pleasure of having dinner here, the food was absolutely beautiful and authentic. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Very reasonably priced, great portion sizes and over all and excellent place to have dinner. Would recommend highly.

Had a great experience at this pub, starting with a warm welcome from the lovely landlady followed by some of the nicest Turkish food we've tried. My boyfriend said it's the best kebab he's' had! Very helpful/friendly service, can't recommend enough! Will be back :)

I had a very disappointing meal of fish and chips. The fish seemed to be straight from the freezer the batter was flabby and the fish mushy and unappetising. Priced at £16.95 I expected better than this. The drinks were also over priced, £3.40 for the appropriately named Orchard Thieves! Not an experience I intend to repeat.

We stayed here as we were using the pub for my mother's wake. Hatty went out of her way to make sure that not just the wake but our entire stay was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. It was the first time in over a decade that some of the family had been together and thanks to Hatty it was a positive, very memorable occasion that my mum would be proud of.Thank you Hatty

Stayed over for a couple of nights and I have to say we couldn’t have picked a better place. Accommodation is clean along with toiletries and a comfortable bed. What makes this place as good as it is is the family that run it. Hattie being the landlady really goes beyond what you expect to make sure you are happy. If we lived there this pub would be our local enjoying their company and food that they serve ?

We were staying with my family at a local hotel where we ate the first night as a gift from my children. On 24th October my wife and I booked a table for 11 at The Duke of Cumberland, this being the nearest place open for an evening. We could not have done better. The main meal was superb, served piping hot and all at the same time. We all chose from the Turkish menu and were pleased with our choices. The deserts were lovely. We were welcomed warmly by Hattie (sorry if spelt wrong) She also looked after us all evening. The restaurant was full, but that did not affect the excellent service. Apologies for late notification. My first attempt for some reason was not sent.

Booked for lunch on a very wet and miserable day so appreciated the fire in the bar. We had the vegetarian moussakaand the lamb shish which were both very good. Would definitely return to try more of the menu.
