Nice local spa with good facilities, nice rooms and lovely food. My husband took me here for my 40th and booked this via buy a gift instead of their website as buy a gift had some offers. For the price he paid this was worth it, however it f you book directly then I would think it is not worth the money. I would recommend visiting only if you are booking via a deal. The mixed reviews are because there is some pot luck involved. The spa is lovely but sometimes things are quite perfect - for example, some spa features not working or the sauna not at temp. The hotel staff are amazing, the treatments are at a very high standard, the food was really very good and the mission to please guests is at the heart of all employees. Having visited RGs in the past, and loved it, we went back for lunch earlier this week. The food was delicious, well presented and could not be faulted. The waiting staff were less than adequate. The table we sat at had a big and obvious black stain on the table cloth, we were served by 5 different staff during our lunch, and were asked by 3 different staff if we wanted dessert.
