Inexpensive good quality meal with the added bonus that you're doing your bit for the community. Come here!

Vegetarian options: A chickpea curry, seemed to be short on veg. But my sausage casserole was wonderfully overflowing with them. The menu seemed to consist of 5 daily specials. Since people can pay what they can afford, that is a good way of offering good food relatively cheaply. I will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: Customers are asked to tell the cook!

Friendly service, very reasonably priced, and the full English (choose your own) was delicious.

Amazing service and atmosphere while also doing so much to support local people with various needs. I'd rather spend my money here than any brand/chain cafe.

Arrived in Dover at 0800 after 0500 start and this was an absolute find. Really good breakfast at incredible price. This is a community cafe run by volunteers and if the service is a little ragged the spirit and intent is fantastic. . This is a great social enterprise which brings benefits to disadvantaged people of Dover as well as the hungry traveller. It was lovely to see young mothers bringing their children here for a good meal so do go and have a good meal and support this terrific little cafe

I'd walked over the clifftops from Folkestone, was gasping for a cup of tea, and this was the first cafe I came to in Dover. Two very young people serving; and the young man asked me about my walk and proved a delight to talk to. I ordered a tea and a cheese scone, and they charged me £2.90, far cheaper than I'm used to. The scone came with butter. And both were excellent too. A few customers were in, such as Poles, a black lady, a guy who lookd homeless (in that gaunt, drug-damaged way). I looked at a couple of leaflets on my counter--and only then did I realise I was in a community cafe. The two lovely youngsters must have been volunteers, bless their hearts. The cafe has a protocol of "pay what you can". Left a donation, because I could.
