Arrived in Dover at 0800 after 0500 start and this was an absolute find. Really good breakfast at incredible price. This is a community cafe run by volunteers and if the service is a little ragged the spirit and intent is fantastic. . This is a great social enterprise which brings benefits to disadvantaged people of Dover as well as the hungry traveller. What a lovely surprise! Such quality food for a great price. Loved it!Staff was very friendly, they have loads of boardgames if you have kids it’s a plus.Full English breakfast with 9 items for less than 9£!
I'd walked over the clifftops from Folkestone, was gasping for a cup of tea, and this was the first cafe I came to in Dover. Two very young people serving; and the young man asked me about my walk and proved a delight to talk to. I ordered a tea and a cheese scone, and they charged me £2.90, far cheaper than I'm used to.
