Absolutely beautiful meal staff were brilliant

Good breakfast. May I suggest not putting the butter on top of the hot toast which just turns it to oil. It was unbearably hot. Some fans would have been useful. I asked for black pepper and didn't get any. But overall it was a good breakfast and a peasant experience.

Poor service and he price is extremely high! Anything on toast is only one slice! Beans on one slice on children's menu is £6.50 ! You would be better off bringing your own packed lunch fo sure!Poached egg and a vacordo on one slice of toast is £12.50 and absolute rip off! Food turns up but no drinks 3 times we had to ask to get all our food and drinks served so we could all eat at the same time. Such a shame it spoils the day out as the castle and gardens are fabulous. Shame on the management.

The restaurant was closed when we went to the 7:30 open air theatr performance. We used the seats and table under the pergola for our picnic, which was fine but no other people sat here so no atmosphere or vibe. Can't rate the food or service as there was neitherI can't help feeling a pre-theatre supper is a trick the Guthrie Pavilion is missing out on.

Great food delivered in a fine dining room, Breakfast menu was a little light on the number of dishes and to be honest paying £15 for an English breakfast was very expensive. We therefore expected a breakfast of high quality so we wouldn't feel hungry. Sadly the food was lovely but wasn't enough to salve our appetite. Very disappointed.

Would definitely be five star but for the very unclear and confusing ordering/collecting system. Many got it wrong, queued in the wrong line on entry and had to be told by customers queuing for collection. High time this was sorted out.

Went there for a classical concert. Excellent venue.

I popped in to get a coffee and tea for my daughter and me while she nipped to the loo. The queue to order had about 8 people waiting but the queue to collect your order had about 30 people in it. I thought they might be waiting for food orders but after talking to someone else in the queue it looks like all of these people were waiting to only pick drink orders up. When I got to the front of the order queue there was one person taking orders, one person organising order tickets and one person making drinks. Why didn't the person taking orders and the person organising tickets stop taking orders and help by making more drinks. Ludicrous, why continue to keep taking orders when you cant produce drinks quick enough to meet demand. At various stages during the day. I walked past the pavilion and each time the collection queue was longer and longer. Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results. I didn't buy any drinks in the end as the server said it would take a long time before the drinks would be ready. This is not acceptable Guthrie Pavilion. My recommendation would be to take a flask with your own drink in, sorry but I want to see the castle not spend hours waiting to get a drink

We attended pre theatre . It is a rather formulaic menu, mostly all pre prepared. Smoked salmon starter served without bread. We asked for bread, none was available. Surely a restaurant should be able to provide the most basic of items a bread basket. We feel menu is overpriced for what you get and to charge £5.50 for Sussex Cheese plate, when it was contintental cheese, this was very poor value. Waiter lacking a warm greeting or smile. Sadly poor service. Overall a disappointing experience.

Only sandwiches, no plates, limited indoor seating for older people as it was a bit windy outside. Could make so much more of the location.

Staff were lovely and food was delicious. The range is a bit limited but they were happy to adapt an item to suit dietary needs.

Service was very slow just for a couple of coffee's, waited almost 25mins after I paid to get my order. They need more staff on making drinks and more equipment to make multiable drinks at the same time also a better EPOS system for when people add or change there drinks orders so staff don't need to call out looking for the people waiting for their order's to check which drinks have the oat milk etc.Parking: Staff in car park think they work at an airport the way they tell drivers to park in a field. Don't need to be asked 6 times have I booked when we are members!

Sadly this was an awful, amateur set up where they had no plates for the cakes, visible rubbish around the floor , very poor service and poor value for money . We paid £4 each for the absolutely tiniest slice of Victoria sponge - although it was nice tasting . Terrible - you need an active manager on site getting everything up to standard.

We walked into the restaurant with a small dog, having firstly checked that there was no sign prohibiting dogs. Someone shouted from behind the counter across the restaurant to tell us that dogs were not allowed. We proceeded to sit outside and ordered using the phone app, which took several minutes due to poor reception. The food arrived at various times, with the children's meals coming last. Two of our party ordered the chicken burgers, which were burnt and inedible. They were returned and replaced with less burnt, but still overcooked, offerings. Portions were small and overpriced. The cup of tea arrived with lipstick all over the cup and also had to be returned. The coffees were lukewarm at best, and also overpriced. The coffees were split all over the tray, and we were offered nothing to clear up the spill. We had to request a bowl of water for our dog and were given a plastic container. The waiting staff wore white gloves but the restaurant experience was very different from the impression they may have been hoping to make. We will certainly never eat there again and our advice is to take a picnic as there are plenty of places to eat your own food.
