I attended with friends for the Sunday Carvery. I was instantly impressed with the various vegetables dishes, including the lovely cauliflower cheese and selection of roast meats. The rib of beef was beautiful, tender and very tasty. The chef freshly carved the meats and said we could return for more if we could fit it in, portions were generous. Choosing the desert wasn't easy as the selection was good. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend prior booking as it is very popular. This is the best carvery I think I've ever had. Will definitely return soon, thanks so much.

We had the Sunday Carvery. 2 of us had rib of beef which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Another had chicken which came with stuffing and was a lovely flavour. There is a good selection of vegetables which you help yourself to, including cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and too many more to list! All freshly cooked and piping hot. Banoffee pie and butterscotch & treacle pudding were delicious. The service is very welcoming and friendly. We cannot recommend enough and will be returning soon. Suggest you book, they are very popular and judging by our meal will only get busier.

I booked in with friend’s today for a Sunday carvery!! Quite honestly one of the best I’ve been to!! Lots of choice! Which I loved. The food was piping hot. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. The staff were friendly and customer care was perfect. Thankyou! Kerry and Karen xx

Not much ambience but beer was fine. Didn't eat anything.

We only had lunch but it was brilliant and so reasonable. It is evident the chef is passionate about the presentation of their food. Can’t wait for them to devise their evening menu so we can try when I visit Kent again

We had a very good Sunday Lunch in Gees bar at The Royal Norfolk Hotel. Situated at the bottom if Sandgate Hill opposite The Saga Building. We had a mixed meat plate with plenty of vegetables. Service was good , choice of Ales limited , note , there are some bottles in the fridge . Booking is recommended as meat is ordered on this basis.

Came to the royal norfolk on a off and can only say what a pleasure. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lots of variety of beers on tap and the food is top quality and value. 50% off burgers and hotdogs on Mondays. Cant go wrong here.

Although we have been drinking here for a few years now we hadn't eaten here in a long time. They had added Steak and BBQ ribs to their specials board which we ordered. Well what can I say.......... fantastic food, the onion rings were fresh with a lovely light batter, hand cut chips were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside and the Rib-eye was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time, cooked to perfection. The BBQ ribs were just as good, the meat fell off the bone. This place had undergone a lovely makeover in lock down and its a great place with great staff.
