On route there were diversions. We called hotel to check route from a few minutes away. Upon arrival the man on reception just wanted to continuously mock. I don't mind a joke but he did this about a dozen times and was just rude after a while.Room was like a sauna. In the night it was over 30!!!! With windows bolted so hardly opening , no air could get in. The fan in the room did not work and no air con. It was not even a particularly hot day. The only solution was to offer sheets, advise there was no room and tell us the first floor is always roasting. Nobody slept

Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was clean and exactly what you'd expect from Premier Inn. But the room was unbelievably hot with no air conditioning. The hotel provided one fan for a family room with four people in it. The staff did get us another fan, but it really only pushed the hot air around. However, a very convenient location for the channel tunnel, with ample parking.

Decent hotel and friendly staff, the adjoining pub had good food and a nice breakfast. The room however was ridiculously hot and stuffy, window only opens 2 inches which does nothing. A fan was in the room but didn’t seem to do anything and sounded like it would take off. We couldn’t sleep, a shame but Premier Inn needs to sort that out.

Basic but fine. We booked a double plus travel cot but the cot wasn't in the room so had to ask for one. Doesn't have air con but had a good big fan. Fine for a quick stop before getting on the tunnel though

the staff bent over backwards to help us, with an early check in, the team after my request via phone remembered me and sorted my dilema. I was so impressed by the level of service. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was generally as one would expect of a Premier Inn….until we tried to take a shower in the morning before departing for an early Shuttle crossing. Reported this to reception and navigated the website to find a feedback form. As yet, no response at all. Even called the hotel again, all they were interested in doing was to direct me to the (already non responsive) web site. In the restaurant there quite a few groups using extreme language but the management did nothing to quash this. I am no prude, but there were people with kids in there.

Just one night as we had an early tunnel crossing. Painless registration and very good coded security to hotel and room. They are quite right as well, probably the most comfortable hotel bed ever slept in. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, why on earth do hotel room occasionally still have a bath with a shower in it. This was a deep high bath and quite frankly for a less agile person it would be nigh on impossible to access. In any case does anyone really lay soaking in a hotel bath these days. The vast majority of people using this hotel are at most 2 nights. The adjoining pub/restaurant had a varied and reasonably priced menu to suit most tastes although not particularly healthy. A complaint though with the "free" wifi most vaunted, was just about non-existant and judging by the online spiel was obviously bullying you to pay the £5 for the "extra" fast. They should be honest and just charged the £5 it would not have been half so annoying.

My wife, my daughter and I spent a weekend at the Premier inn last weekend for a wedding. We were allocated two rooms next to each other which was excellent and very convenient for us. The staff were very friendly and always greeted us with a SMILE. The location was brilliant , quiet and very clean with ample parking. The rooms were adequate and had TV, Fan, tea making facilities and a bottle opener which was a pleasant surprise. We would certainly book again with Premier Inns for long weekends to explore different areas. Thanks to all the staff for making our weekend a pleasant and comfortable one.

We stayed on the night of 16 June 2022. The day was the hottest of the year. A fan was on when we arrived and it may have helped (?). The temperature was 28.5 when we arrived and it stayed at that ALL night. We were on the top floor. When we got up at 5am, the temperature was still 28.5. We had hardly slept. The corridor seemed cooler - when we got to reception, it was cool and it was cool outside. We may have to consider booking elsewhere in the summer next time - unless we could negotiate a room lower in the building - if rooms lower in the building are cooler. In hindsight, we should have asked to be moved but it might have been hot in every other room!? This was our second stay at a Premier Inn and the first stay was great, which is why we booked again.

We really only chose the Premier Inn Folkestone because of its proximity to the Channel Tunnel, and our early booking on the tunnel. I was expecting a very basic hotel in an industrial area (don't know where I got that idea from). It was actually just off the motorway, in a lovely little area, with a tavern opposite. There was plenty of onsite parking and the check-in was very smooth and easy, with 24 hour staff there to answer any questions. We were a party of 8, and any requests that I had made on the booking form re requested room format etc had been met. Rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable (extra pillows available in cupboard). We arrived around 9pm after a long drive from Scotland so were relieved that the tavern was still serving food and drink. All good. Plenty of choice on menu and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Can't comment on breakfast as we were away early in the morning for the channel tunnel. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again when next using the channel tunnel, or visiting the area. Only wish we had booked it for the return journey.

Not the best Premier Inn that I've stayed in. The Reception staff were friendly and efficient, but the room was stuffy due to the air conditioning not working. A fan was provided, but it was a bit noisy. The adjacent restaurant was average and my steak pie was still cold in the middle. The breakfast offering lacked sausages due to a shortage throughout the Premier Inn chain (so we were told).Very disappointing and not worthy of a recommendation despite its convenient location close to Le Shuttle.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff were great and room was clean, however it reached 26 degrees in our room, which made it impossible to sleep! This hotel needs air conditioning! The fan provided just moved around the hot air.

Room smelt very strongly of cigarettes which was unpleasant for us especially with 2 kids under 4. Only offered air fresheners to try and mask the smell. Would have appreciated proper clean or new room as someone had obviously been smoking before us - we could see cigarette ash. Otherwise very comfy beds and excellent location. Very quiet too. Would have rated higher if it wasn't for disgusting smell.

In past years we have driven from our home in Cornwall to take a booked a Eurostar Shuttle crossing. However, with the enormous build up of traffic and coning off of miles of the motorway in Kent it is impossible to accurately estimate arrival times. The hotel is ideally placed to enable us to have a comfortable night’s sleep and be confident that we can arrive at the correct time for our crossing.
