Had large cod and chips. Batter was under cooked, fish was mushy, and did not taste right.Chips needed a couple more minutes also.The shop is under staffed, just one person working. Had a 30 minute wait. Nothing is ready.Also noticed flaky paint above the cooking fryers.Will not be using this place again

Today was the first day and the last time I will ever give this people my money for food again. The fish was dreadful the chips were old and stale. No salt no vinegar no TAR TAR sauce. Fish and chips in this economic is a treat you have spoilt my treat I looked forward to this meal and it was absolutely dreadful. If your charging people for money for your food at least make it edible.

Food was lovely, the main two blokes are ace, make you feel welcome. Took time to engage with me and the kiddies. Never once faulted with there work, serving, talking and cooking.Can get busy as its become very popular, i think the guys was saying they been there just over a year and based on what ive seen and tasted they wont be going anywhere soon.Prices are very reasonable, i feed a family of 6 for a very good price.Keep up the good work Mark and Raj.Vegetarian options: Nice range of vegi options, not lots and lots but ample. Atleast they bother with people who don't want meat. Unlike 99% of takeaway.Kid-friendliness: Staff engage with adults and children alike. Always talking to customers, unless customers dont want to talk like i noticed. Staff approachable and kind, especially the two main guys who run the place.Best part is unlike some places, if kids are crying or loud in genral staff dont mind, they even offer assistance in trying to calm the kids from behind the counter. My little one was screaming in the buggy and the main two guys were on shift together and they was playing peeka boo while cooking. Great work guys.

When I was a student in Kent, I used to buy fish and chips from them on the daily basis! Love love love their Cod fish and chips, so affordable and big portions! One of the best I've tasted in the UK!

Recently moved to the area, Atlantic Cod has become "Go To" Fish and Chip shop bar none, amazing chips and brilliant portions - with recently added vegetarian options and burgers, theres something for everyone!
Really nice freshly cooked fish and chips, staff are so friendly, highly recommended this lovely chippy.

So cannot speak for the current quality a d service if it changed hands with the name change.ORIGINAL REVIEW:We love it here. We actually live on St Mary's Island and drive past the one there to go to Ossies because they are better for value, portion size and flavour.They very often cook everything fresh, so it can take a minute longer than some places, but we'd rather have freshly fried than sitting there for an hour.We love the flavour and lightness of the batter. And the chips are beautifully fried and never taste underdone like some other places.Portions are massive
