Just had lunch at the manor farm with my husband. A young gentleman, think his name is Joe, and a lady served us. What lovely, lovely staff. So attentive and friendly. Food was great also.

I’m usually a fan of Beefeaters so I called in here this week just for a drink whilst stopping nearby. It was really disappointing. Dark and not very pleasant and had a grubby feel to it. The table I sat at was filthy and sticky and hadn’t been cleaned for a long while. The beer was awful. Flat and lifeless, pretty much like the pub itself.

Horrendous. We booked a Boxing Day meal for 12 and it was awful. Apparently some staff hadn't arrived which is quite usual there now but, our tables were not properly laid, they were dirty and the festive side consisted of 3 Christmas crackers presumably left over from the previous day. The food was awful, the chicken gougon starters weren't properly cooked, the roast dinner was obviously warmed from frozen, potatoes not very well re-heated, there were hardly any vegetables and the brussels were not cooked. The steak recipe arrived with a greasy "red wine" sauce, totally inedible. No sauce was served with the pigs in blankets, the gravy was served in tiny jugs so had to request extra, this took some time to arrive. The deserts were also appalling, the apple pie was just uncooked stodge and cold so extra custard requested to warm it. The ice cream deserts were just slopped into glasses. The service was awful and actually had to chase around for drinks, extra food and the bill. We have been here many times in the past but it is really becoming tatty, poor food, filthy toilets, not enough staff. The only good thing about it is the staff are always helpful and friendly but that doesn't make up for the rest.

We always bring our autistic son here and the staff always go above and beyond for his needs. Unfortunately one of the cooks on shift relatives was trying to intimidate the lovely lady at front of house, the lady dealt with it professionally and took the gentleman outside. This is unfair that staff have to be spoken too and shouted by someone who works here relative all because he wanted her shift to finish early he made it very clear and a show up in front of the staff here. The cook clearly didn’t care how her family member was treating her colleagues in front of a restaurant full of people. Shame on her and hope this is dealt with so staff haven’t got to be spoken like that

Very friendly staff and a clean place to eat.Food was nice but the ribs came a bit dry without extra sauces.Refillable drinks is a bonus.I would return to try other stuff.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu is available.

We did not book but front if house managed to fit us in. Thank you. Unfortunately the place did not meet any sort of expectation. The waitress, although very pleasant was run off her feet, if we hadn't of called her over I hate to think how long we would have continued to wait. Our food selection was chicken & rib combo. The ribs were OK but the chicken was dry and like an old piece of leather. We asked for ketchup but the waitress forgot. Two of the smallest pieces of corn on the cob I have ever seen!! The whole place looks shabby and tired. Will probably not go back. Shame really used to love going here.

Food was good this time. Our waiter Joe was amazing as always. Rushed off his feet but always cheerful. Worth his weight I'm gold. I do hope Beefeater appreciate him.

Excellent breakfast. Family of 5, and only paid £19.98 as the children ate free. Good choice of food - pastries, yogurts, cereal. Then choose what you want from the cooked breakfast. Unlimited juice altho some items out of stock like apple juice and nutella it wasn’t too bad! Would definitely go back again for breakfast and will try for lunch/dinner.

Come here for Christmas Day lunch. Would never return. The soup was like warm, the mains were tiny & awful. My mum got offered a steak knife for her roast beef as it was so tough. No stuffing with the turkey. Veg rock hard. The pudding was delicious. For the price we paid it was terrible. 3 of the dinners went back uneaten. I would not recommend this place. I have emailed a complaint & yet to receive a response

What a Complete Shambles of a Christmas Dinner. Upon booking and paying for a Christmas Dinner for a party of 4 on the 6th December a request was made to sit upstairs. We were told that this had been actioned. On arrival on Christmas Day we were subsequently seated downstairs!! Anyway, starters arrived Prawn and Salmon Cocktails were OK but the Patè wasn't the best, Toasted Ciabatta was more like a piece of cold Melba Toast and the Watercress was warm and limp, really not as described. Mains arrived, Roast Turkey Dinner. This consisted of: A few slices of Machine cut Turkey, 1 small Pig in Blanket,Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, 2 soggy Brussel Sprouts, 4 Carrot Slices and Peas. No: Greens, Parsnips, Mashed Sweed. Question so where were all the Trimmings as advertised. Christmas Puddings were equally as poor, Microwaved and served with Cream and Custard pre poured. Waiting Staff were having open heated exchanges with the Kitchen Staff, something paying guests shouldn't need to be exposed to. Toilets were unkempt, Ladies had 2 cubicles out of 3 unusable. Gents had hand dryer hanging off the wall. Overall a dreadful experience and one that ruined a much anticipated Christmas Dinner with an Elderly Relative. I urge anyone else who has had a bad experience like ourselves to contact Whitbreads and Complain. It's wrong on all fronts that these establishments take your £64.95 per head and fail to deliver.

Went for a large group family breakfast on Boxing Day. It was quite quiet. Service and our waitress was great. Lots of buffet choice. Hot food orders were taken promptly and the food came.out quickly too. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. Would def return.

Food was ok but seems as though there is not much care given in the kitchen apart from when you get your dessert! We had a great experience with our waiter Joe! He couldn’t have done enough for us. He was very friendly, polite and very knowledgable on the menu items.

Went with a group of friends. We waited 40 min for the drinks to arrive and order our food. There was only one waitress working on our floor, could not fault them, they did the best they could. We ordered from the festive menu, the festive chicken burger, the traditional festive dinner and the steak. The starters arrived, the crumbed mushroom was cold and was sent back. The mains were awful, the parsnips were cremated, the carrots and potatoes undercooked and hard. The steak was chewy and the chicken burger was overcooked and dry. We complained to the manager who dealt with our complaint professionally. Would not recommend going here. Gave it one star because the staff were trying their best.
