The Ringlestone inn
The Ringlestone Inn, Ringlestone Rd, HarrietshamI have been going to this fabulous, slightly spooky, very old country pub on and off for over 50 years. The Ringlestone Inn is in the middle of nowhere! It is a bit of a treck to get to but so worth it.
We havent been there for quite some time but friends told us that they recently had the best Sunday Roast.
So we chose to book for dinner last Friday evening.
I was so looking forward to a big juicy steak, however we found the menu very disappointing. They were trying to push their two taster menus, a 5 course @ £60 and a 7 course @ £75 each..
On the Mains were Pork, Duck, Bream, and something else, none of which appealed. However the Special for the day was Steak and Red wine pie.
We were served two types of home made bread with Chive butter and melted Marmite butter to dip as a little starter. The Pie was excellent, the meat (which I expect comes from a fabulous country butcher not far away in Doddington) was melt in your mouth. Lovely sauce, crispy top and piping hot.

Ashford Rd, Harrietsham, MaidstoneWe come here often, and every time we do, the staff are consistently so polite, welcoming, and friendly.
You'll be well looked after here. They never let your glass run dry and always go out of their way to ensure their guests are happy and have a great time.
The perfectly sized menu offers a great range of dishes, and if you aren't sure what you would like, the staff are more than happy to find the perfect dish for you based on your preferences.
The food is great, portion sizes just right, you definitely won't leave feeling hungry.
It's the little things that matter, always asking if you enjoyed youre meal or if they can offer anything else and Simply offering hot hand wipes after your meal and thank you chocolates with your bill is a nice memorable touch.
I've been here when it's a special occasion, such as a birthday meal, and the staff never fails to make you feel extra well looked after.
Great food, service with a smile, and a genuine thank you and well wishes upon leaving. I can't recommend this place enough

The Blacksmiths Arms
The St, SittingbourneA timeless pub with honest pub food, the landlord and landlady are a delight, proper menu with house specials, arrived on a rainy miserable night the landlord opened early and welcomed us in, the selection of food was 5+ within 10 minutes it’s was served, all enjoyed, local beers I wish I lived local, pay this inn a visit before it’s too late

Percival's Rest
West St, Harrietsham, MaidstoneAn amazing place staff are so friendly the service was quick and you really feel at home. The food is good damn amazing! And they have also started a Sunday roast too ! You can get a traditional roast or even duck with it if you want a bit of a fusion ! Highly recommend.
