I was a bit apprehensive as previous reviews were pretty mixed. I am a local motorcyclist and do visit quite a few cafes and tearooms for breakfast (it's what bikers do). I opted for the small breakfast which was actually quite nice. The sausage was more like a chipolata but was very tasty. The egg although had fat on where it hadn't been drained properly but wasn't too bad. I was offered 'bubble and squeak' which was also nice. Simple cafe for an all-day breakfast. Food was ok but very greasy. Cutlery wasn’t cleaned properly, nor the table. Server seemed to not want to be there, maybe just a bad day. Couple of other servers seemed more polite. Egg shell in the fried egg wasn’t really welcome either.

Popped into the Village Tea Rooms whilst at work. Staff where very friendly. Ordered the full English which came out in good time and was one of the best breakfasts I've had for a long time. Will definitely be going back.
